☼: Cooking Headcanon
At her mother’s insistence, Alex began to help with cooking and meal preparation by the time she was 15. As she grew older she became more competent and eventually took over the role completely. For the most part she has retained her cooking skills, although they waned a bit during her college years-- which was more of a diet of frozen dinners and ready-to-eat meals. When faced with a choice between cooking (or eating a home cooked meal— even if it's not the best prepared thing) and going out to eat, she will almost always go for the homemade meal.

1: What does their bedroom look like?
It depends. For the most part, she tries to keep things tidy, or in some form of organized chaos in the least. But if she's burning through anything work related, well, it's a danger zone.
6: Eating habits and sample daily menu
Alex isn't the most picky when it comes to food mostly because if she didn't actually cook it, she feels she has no room to complain. Her meals tend to be less like actual meals and more like sporadic snacking throughout the day, along with a healthy intake of caffeine.
17: Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress
She dresses comfortably but still tries to maintain a somewhat decent appearance. Of course if she's hiding out in her quarters he style of dress is far more relaxed (as in no pants, or sweats, etc). The doc always puts her pants on first.
34: Thoughts on privacy? (Are they a private person, or are they prone to ‘TMI’?)
Concerning certain matters, Alex is really quite private. She feels that certain things shouldn't be voiced to others but even she can't resist telling a few tales or more personal things at times.
37: Are they more analytical or more emotional in their decision-making?
Definitely analytical. There is no room for a doctor to get emotional over their patients, not when it's their job to try and save people's lives. That way of thinking has easily transferred over to any problem solving or decision making. Then again, she's never had to treat anyone close to her.
Headcanon 003
Nightmares generally aren't an issue for Alex seeing as how she tends to forget most of them shortly after waking. Some are just disconcerting and leave her with an uneasy feeling and others are just her mind replaying some of her more gruesome calls. But every so often, one will stick with her, Those are the ones that leave her propped up in the corner of her bed, sitting and wide awake and she tries to soothe herself back to sleep. That usually works. Usually.

♒ - Family headcanon
When she was a kid, her relationship with her older brother was rather strained. They didn't quite get along and more often than not, ended up going at each other's throats.
It wasn't until she was in her late teens that things changed. Instead of fighting with each other they began to cover for each other, telling lies and agreeing to stories so neither would get into trouble.
The only rule was don't get hurt.

☆ - Appearence headcanon
The Shatterdome's medbay is far more informal than most other hospitals or doctor's offices and so she dresses accordingly-- half scrubs and half civilian clothes.
It's comfortable and it works.
☠ - Death headcanon
As a doctor Alexandra has seen her fair share of deaths, some bloody and violent while others go quietly.
She doesn't mourn their passing and instead just chooses to accept it. Most patients are old, they've lived a good life. It's the young ones, the children, who she mourns.
Death is just another factor in life and the thought of it is not terrifying or worrisome. It just simply is.
☄ - Food headcanon
If there was one thing that college taught her, it was how not to be a picky eater. Food is food and if it doesn't kill you, that's great. If it tastes good? Even better.
But there are some things she won't touch. Like balut.
