Oh yeah, and the rest of the update.-

Silent Salt finally getting his revenge on the other beasts makes me so happy. GET THEIR ASSES SILENT SALT!!! And not the other beasts acting shocked that this guy hates all of them, and calling him a traitor. Bro, Y'ALL DID THE SAME THING TO HIM!!! You guys literally ganged up on him and took his army and kingdom away from him when he was still the Salt of Solidarity! Why are you guys surprised??? If I were in his situation, I'd do the same! Not even that, but Silent Salt was trying to keep the others from Dark Enchantress Cookie's lair to prevent them from falling into her trap! What a gentleman.

Bro, don't you dare tell me Crunchy Chip's cream wolf is gone for good. DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME THE WOLFIE'S DEAD!!! My boy Crunchy didn't deserve that! I have no idea if they will bring the cream wolf back, but I hope they will. If not, maybe Dark Cacao can give Crunchy Chip a creamwolf puppy as a way for him to cope with his loss. Obviously, it won't replace the OG, since it seems like that creamwolf was around since Crunchy was a kid (judging by some of his dialogue and April Fool's illustration). But hey, maybe the new puppy can help him heal.

That scene with Holly and Eternal Sugar.... it made me SO damn uncomfy. Eternal Sugar's whole demeanor was so damn creepy and a BIG ass red flag! The fact that she mispoke and said she'll LOCK HOLLY UP to make her stay tells me everything I need to know. Not even that, but it has been confirmed that Eternal Sugar is "attracted" to Holly.... Sugi... that is not love. You are not attracted to Holly. If you TRULY loved Hollyberry and wanted what's best for her, you would've let her go and encouraged her to finish the fight. But, no. Instead, Eternal Sugar decides to entrap everything/everyone who Holly loves in her garden, so she will HAVE to stay with her. That's not love, bro. That is ICKY. And my girl Holly looks so uncomfortable around her! Eternal Sugar doesn't need Holly; she needs to learn what boundaries are.

So after that last post, I got the urge to do one of my old requests, and this one spoke to me, so here we have Cacao Dust Cookie

The style looks slightly different because I’m trying to use the new library’s brushes on Procreate. Still figuring out what exactly to use though. It was weird going back to making one of these

Edit: also random note, I saved this to drafts while writing this, so I don't potentially lose what I have, and good god, did I have to scroll far to find this one (ask drafts are sorted by when the ask was sent, not when it's being answered)

But anyways, Cacao Dust. I don’t really have much on him character wise? But he’s like a protector of the Giant Icing Ridge, with storm clouds always following

He’s more of an urban legend than a real part of the society. People see him, but his actual character is unknown to most people, he just tends to show up when there’s danger and save the Cookies there, usually disappearing without a word. Cookies say he has a likeness to the royal family, but he clearly isn’t either the king or prince, so they know he isn’t them. They speculate that he’s a force of nature that chose to take on a Cookie form to protect other Cookies, and made himself resemble the royal family to give the Cookies a feeling of safety

He probably has a more fantastical origin than just the typical origin, but like he is actually related to both Dark Cacao and Stormbringer, he's just more similar to SB, and probably grew up around her and the Deity Cookies. He's also an actual person with feelings and such, it's just that most Cookies don't see it

I don't entirely know what his personality is, but he's pretty chill. Doesn't have nearly the ego of Stormbringer, though he has Dark Cacao's intensity, at least on the battlefield. He enjoys tea, and likes to discover different kinds

He is a very powerful Cookie, with lightning being his main thing, whether through storm clouds or from his lightning, typical stuff

And yeah, that's probably the most I got, it's not too much in all honesty. I was mostly just focused on my design ideas

I don't really have much on the name front either, I just picked one of the old names I had in my old notes. I think cacao dust is what the Stormbringer lightning cloud decors are called? But that's about it

I also don't have a picture of cacao dust for obvious reasons

Alright, design things

I kind of just went in with some vibes and drew what I felt would be good. In my head, yellow and red were supposed to be his main colors. Which by the end of things, makes me realize he doesn't really have a lot of colors in common with Dark Cacao, but the red is supposed to come with him, so oh well

I also wonder if maybe his colors are too same-y, but I'm not sure

I want to say what I drew reminds me of some other lightning deity being, or something like one, that I've seen from something else East Asian, but I don't know what

His outfit was largely based on some Joseon era guard outfits I remember having a reference for (I found it again while drawing, it just wasn't in my photos when I drew this), though I really wanted to give him the fluffy cape Dark Cacao has, because it'd be like clouds

His sword I based on Rumi's sword at the end of K-Pop Demon Hunters, since it looked big and powerful. I believe it's called a Chilseong-kal? It's maybe a bit plain looking in my drawing, it could look nicer, but oh well I guess

I was also initially planning to have his hair short, only having the bun, but I extended it to the ponytail since I remembered most Dark Cacaoians have long hair (well actually, most of them don't now that I think on it more, but oh well)

And that's probably about all I have to say about it? I think it's relatively good, though I maybe could have done something more to make it look like a mixture of Dark Cacao and Stormbringer; he feels only tangentially tied to them in my head right now

Only other thing of note to mention is that I was listening to Gravity from Hazbin Hotel for a good portion of the drawing, which might have influenced Cacao Dust here, I just don't know exactly how (maybe that's why this pairing appealed to me, given all the references to storms in that song)

And yeah, that about wraps it up. This was nice to do, though like I say, no guarantees I will do more anytime soon
