If Trucy was being honest, this entire situation terrified her. She didn’t understand what was going on and after an hour of searching for Daddy or Polly she was starting to wonder if there were no familiar faces around. As much as Apollo thought she had no sense of fear whatsoever, and as much as she’d deny being a child, she still needed her dad, especially in situations like this where she’d been kidnapped and supposedly brought to another universe. Which she was so not going to question at the moment. She’d question it after she either found someone from home or found this housing they’d given her.
She dragged her feet as she walked slowly through the streets, checking in every alleyway and shop front to make sure she didn’t miss her dad. If he was here. Which she hoped he was. Sure, they’d both be science experiments, but they’d be science experiments together and she’d feel better having him around. Even if he was a terrible piano player and hadn’t retaken the bar exam yet.
Did it count as breaking his promise when she’d been the one to disappear and not him?
Her legs were beginning to hurt and she was starting to seriously consider giving up her search when she spotted him. If not for his spiky hair, she wouldn’t have even recognized him. He was wearing a suit, just like when they’d first met and he’d tried defending her real daddy. He hadn’t worn anything that professional in a long and for a second she couldn’t help but stare at him.
And then tears formed in her eyes and she went running toward him. “D-Daddy!” She slammed into him, wrapping her arms tightly around him as she pressed her face against his chest. “Daddy!” He was here! She wasn’t completely alone!
