Yeah!! That's essentially what I use too! I honestly don't notice brand names very often, but ballpoint is my thing. <3 But man, it is /definitely/ a lot of work. But when you do have those moments and spend hours working on something for instance, it's great. <3 --even if things are sketchy, it just means that more practice!! MOAR PRACTICE! It's so hard to break a style when you fall into it, but that's what constantly drawing and studying and practicing is about. :3 You can learn and grow.
yeah. uwu i mean, i sketch with my pencils mostly, but when i sketch with ink, it's always ALWAYS ballpoints. and i enjoy it a lot. i'm out of practice, though, just in general, and it's terrible. :\
like when i've been drawing, i mostly been drawing johndave oops, i can't remember (aside from vriska and em's female troll) the last time i actively drew the female figure and it shows in my drawings of vriska

SMUDGES ARE THE WORST. this is why I’m actually pretty picky with the pens I draw with. I don’t… use professional things? But I try to doodle with non-smudging/bleeding pens. XP But aughshgsgds I know what you mean. DX My art style is forever sketchy. ;-; Clean, steady lines are impossible for me except on VERY. /VERY/ rare occasions. So rare I can’t remember one right now. XP
i hate smudges so much alsdfjawe as for pens, i'm guilty of using ball point pens a lot. they actually work fantastically, though you gotta watch out for brands since some bleed or smudge which is awful. but papermate and certain bics are good. some bics will bleed, though. like the ink comes out too fast and just blotches it's ugly
but yeah!! same, my style is just forever sketchy unu clean steady lines are just impossible ugh
i can make my work look smooth and somewhat clean with a lot of little strokes, work, blending, erasing, and patience which i have like once in a blue moon. and even then it's still somewhat sketchy. sigh

pfffbtt it’s okay we’ve all done that. But dude… I don’t blame you. I’ve tried inking and it’s ruined everything I ever drew 100% of the time. Or maybe I’m just biased and hate inking my sketches. XP But I know where you’re coming from.
ugh ugh guh so true literally me but i also hate just leaving my sketches because then the pencil gets smudged it's a never ending battle and we never win, boss.
