Instinct tells her this... thing? Person? Something. Regardless, it tells her that they’re probably not good news, but they haven’t made any aggressive moves towards her, so she willing to give them a benefit of a doubt. And she just can’t resist being a little snarky, even when her heart is in her throat. “So, uh... is this a Festival of the Lost costume? If so, I’m impressed.” If not, then she’s freaked out, but she’ll deal with that if it goes that way.

Oh, she’s got him. She’s got Vadim this time for sure. She ceases her humming and moves closer, bitting the inside of her cheek to keep herself from giggling or letting out too loud of a breath that would give her away. She creeps ever closer, thumb tapping the little red record button on her phone, readying herself for the theoretical pounce.
She takes a deep breath, filling her lungs as much as physically possible, and then, “SPEAKER!” she hollers out his title at the top of her voice.

Ronja had heard a little bit about Lumina from her mother, but the woman had died before she was born, and Mara had always been wary about Ronja being near Guardians when she had been younger, and before she had... died. Even now, with her back, Ronja is well aware that Mara would prefer her away from any Guardians who happen to stumble into the city she currently lives in.
“Do you remember anything at all? Like... about your past life? Or is it actually, like... completely gone?” she asks. It’s hard to separate truth from myth when it comes to Guardians. Most civilians have never seen a Guardian, only heard of them from those who have had encounters with them, and even then, those stories can get fantastical. “Mom told me you used to work for the Crown, yeah?”

“Haha, Arwen!” Ronja comes skidding into the room. Her eyes are a bit wide and wild, and she’s grinning broadly. Neither are a good sign when it comes to the Princess. It usually means something has happened, and she’s either thrilled with herself, or on the run from someone. “I maybe, kind of, sort of, possibly broke something in the throne room, and Mom doesn’t know yet. Could you cover for me if she finds out? Please?”
“Will we ever be able to go back to the Dreaming City? Mom and Petra both say they’ll figure it out, the Guardians will figure it out, blah blah, but it’s been weeks! Months now! I just wanna go home.”
“Are the cats still roaming around the Dreaming City? Always wondered how they’ve been doing since we all left.”
“All this talk of dabbing makes me wonder if I can convince my mom to do it. I bet people would pay to see the Queen do that.”
