Good Morning;
It was morning— and not like 10 am morning, but like the sun is barely visible on the horizon. The minimal light that did come in through the windows, shined right into his eyes waking him up out of his pot hangover haze. He groaned, Every goddamn day. How can you forget to close curtains every goddamn night.
Rolling off the edge of the bed, still holding onto the blanket that he was wrapped into he hit the floor which wasn’t more than 4 inches below the mattress. He laid on the badly scratched wood floor for a couple moments, until he noticed a small hair ball was right in front of his mouth— which made him at least start to stand up. He made a mental note that they need to vacuum… or at least not to lay on the floor.
He made his way to the kitchen which was luckily just a few feet away. Tristan grabbed the empty, stained coffee pot, filling it over a pile of unwashed dishes that he refused to wash and then forcefully stuck the pot back into the machine. He didn’t know how it happened but somehow his coffee pot didn't match the actual machine so it was a little lopsided but it worked— barely. After he stuffed some grounded beans on the top and started the machine, he dug around the cupboards trying to find a clean mug, pulling out a old, chipped black batman mug. The only reason this one was clean was because it was the house favorite, not only did it have the batman symbol but it also could hold enough coffee as two regular mugs. She’ll need it.
Filling the mug with as much coffee that had been just made, letting the machine drip on the hot plate for a few seconds which in turn made a sizzle noise. Tristan left the cup on the corner of counter top, and then grabbed for a white pill bottom grabbing two of the pain pills and sat them next to the mug. Okay, I got a couple of moments of silence. Hm, maybe I should make myself some—
Before he could even finish his thoughts he was interrupted by the door to the studio jingling. Quickly Tristan grabbed the mug and the pills and slight stuck them out from his body and then the door sung open, surely making the dent in the wall from her flinging the door open even worse. “Oh my god. WORK WAS THE WORST!” His roommate yelled as she slammed the door. He prayed that they wouldn’t get another complaint from the neighbors since Roxanne was always this loud at 5 am — last time their landlord said he’d kick them out next time they got a complaint. Roxy didn’t believe him, but Tristan didn’t want to put his trust in a man that never seemed to have pants on and just sat around in boxers.
“A guy tried to gyp me again today. This fucking time he gave me the cash with a twenty dollar bill on top thinking that I wouldn’t count it. He put four ones on the bottom! Are they that stupid? Do they not think i'm going to fucking count it?” The blonde grabbed the mug and pills out of Tristan's hands, swallowing the pills with ease. “I swear these tourists think that they can do whatever they want.”
Stomping over to the bed on the floor she threw her tote bag on the floor with a loud bang, taking a drink of her coffee and then set it on the floor before flopping (the only way Tristan could explain ) onto the bed. Tristan wanted to laugh at Roxy, she did this every night she worked. You’d think after taking Johns for a year that she knew how guys worked, that she wouldn’t be able to complain anymore, but here she was complaining up a storm. He couldn’t even say anything to her when she was like this, that why he sets her up with coffee and pills— the sooner she has those, the sooner she snapped back to being a normal human being. He sat down on the other side of the bed, looking over his bare shoulder to stare at Roxanne. “It’s gonna be a long fucking day. You should probably go to bed.” “Maybe you shouldn’t have given me coffee.” “Maybe you shouldn’t complain when I don’t give it to you.” She pointed at him, “You got me there but you know I love you.” He groaned, “Yeah yeah don’t get sappy on me please, but I love you to.” “God we are gross.” “So gross.”
@noblevi liked for a starter.
“Well, uh, hey there Rox.” He’s a bit sheepish, standing off-balance as he tries to avoid favoring one side or another. He runs his long, armored fingers over the wounds he sustained; his form of self-flagellation made manifest.
“Sorry for being, uh..” he coughs to try to cover for himself, before continuing. “For being such an asshole.”

“I never said that.”
