------What a damn shame, isn’t it? A look in a mirror and what the viewer sees should be overwhelmingly positive, a reflection of self pride and happiness. Or perhaps, the viewer is ashamed of his or her reflection. He or her defines his or herself as abnormal, ineffective, and a real fucking waste. Positive versus negative, correct? But then there are people who refuse to take a look in that mirror, and, by far, they are the worst living things on this God forsaken planet. A human without the ability to reflect is nothing more, nothing better than an ignorant animal walking the jungle floor.
------ Reflection. It’s the noblest path. And I quote thee: “Those who are born with the possession of knowledge are the highest class of men. Those who learn, and so readily get possession of knowledge, are the next. Those who are dull and stupid, and yet compass the learning are another class next to these. As to those who are dull and stupid and yet do not try to learn--they are the lowest of the people."

Orihara Izaya.
There was an informant who was apparently well-known in Tokyo for being devious and manipulative. Mikaela learned this soon after he began integrating himself back into the human world. He had been a vampire for seven years already, and escaped from the colony about a year ago, deciding to try living a relatively normal life. Of course, as a vampire, he could pass as a human, but never fully be like them again. But Mikaela didn’t give up hope of being normal. He escaped to Tokyo and lived off of blood from a vampire he found through a mutual friend, of sorts.
Unfortunately, the vampire blood was no longer satisfying his thirst. He lusted for human blood more and more as the days passed, and came close to attacking people multiple times. If he didn’t find an antidote soon, then he would be forced to completely become one of the monsters he loathed. So, he decided to seek help from that strange information broker who seemed to find information that no one else could.
As Mikaela sat on the man’s couch, with his hands stuffed in his pockets, he looked around silently. He was surprised to get an appointment with an infamous man rather easily, but there was no point dwelling on that. Now his task was to figure out if he could find a cure for him.
“I’m looking for something that might not exist,” he started vaguely. After a few moments of thinking about how to continue, he spoke up again. “I’ve heard about a headless person who rides around the city on a motorcycle, wielding a scythe, and a man who has inhuman strength. Do you think that supernatural beings exist, Orihara-san?”
“Set me as a seal over your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is as strong as death, jealousy as demanding as the grave. And many waters cannot quench this thirst--”
“You were made for abandonment. You’ll come alive when you learn to die.”
--------- The moments that we desire become unreachable, intangible when we give chase to them. Unhappiness stems from want, and the more perseverance you express to achieve your goals, the more you will fall into a depressive state. Move away from this world. Understand that dependence on the flesh will bring you to only this: pain, distortion, and utter emptiness. People are never to be trusted nor are words nor are actions. The ulterior motive is human nature. Although we were made in His image, God designed us to take side with sin. Those who can overcome the pull of temptation deserve a rare seat at His right hand.
Prove the world wrong. Prove to God that you are worthy of a name, otherwise your hollowness will swallow you whole. Radix malorum est cupiditas. You are not as important as you think you are.
--------- “Thus it is more wise to hold your tongue than to defend a matter that means little. People may believe what is heard and may believe what is seen, but righteousness always lies with the silent. God won’t meddle in such trivial things so why should I?”
