[ well, as much as i make rin’s imprisonment out to be nice, she’s kind of under house arrest

she wears one of those house arrest anklets, and if she goes beyond a certain distance of her assigned room, it rings and alerts the obelisk force, which then kindly escorts her back

so rin’s tried many times to escape, but that anklet cant be taken off no matter how hard she tries. it’s like a collar ]

[ i can see rin as some sort of fashionista

obviously she doesnt have much to work with in commons, but she likes looking through the fashion magazines that people discard and marveling at all the clothes inside

she wants to wear all the pretty clothes. she can probably sew her own, too. it’s just she never has fabric ]

[ rin’s first crush, because it wasn’t really a love, was on a girl of her age

foregoing a lot of details, her crush wasn’t requited. the girl enjoyed rin’s company, but she wasn’t interested in the same way rin was. when rin confessed, she rejected her and they broke up their friendship

rin still has issues showing her crush/love anything remotely indicating that she has romantic feelings for fear of the same thing happening again

so when she likes someone, she knows and acknowledges it, but she doesn’t show it ]

[ i feel like i might be making rin out to be a saint or something but

she acts like a mother because she herself doesn’t have one, and she wants to provide for people who dont because she knows that pain too well. she wants to help wherever she can

rin doesn’t do it from the goodness of her heart though, because while that factors into it, in reality she wants that love and affection to be reciprocated

she wants to be loved by the people, to feel the love that she never had, so she goes out of her way in hopes that they’ll like her in return ]

☂ for something my muse wants to protect

[ without a doubt there’s always one thing she worries about: yuugo. she feels like a mother to him, having to pick up his messes and scold him for things he does but she doesn’t mind

yuugo means a lot to her because he’s been with her from the start. beyond him, though, rin wants to protect Commons, protect it from security and their prejudice ]

♞ for something that my muse wants to do

[ she wants to live in tops! she wants to experience that high life with yuugo, and that’s why she was so excited to enter the friendship cup.

but she also wants to overthrow the crappy classicist system that the City has most of all, because they’ve all suffered enough ]

[ she admires an iron will and determination, the strong urge to do what is right and a lack of prejudice between the classes

and she also admires any kindness she can see, feel, experience--any gentle rocking, soft lullabies--she grew up without them, it’s only natural she seeks them out ]

☁ for something that make my muse sad 

[ if someone is in pain, she immediately wants to help. but, if rin can’t help, it makes her sad

she wants so hard to try and be a role model for people, to be the mother that everyone needs and may not have, but sometimes life just doesn’t work that way. rin has to accept that fact that not every needs her, that she can’t help everyone, that she can’t save everyone ]
