                     it’s  the  first  time  she’s  spoken  to  pammy  in  a  while  --  not  counting  the  times  she  bought  a  house  plant  and  asked  it  to  relay  a  message  to  her  ex  girlfriend .   that  never  seemed  to  work .  maybe  it  had  something  to  do  with  the  fact  that  she  ended  up  killing  all  of  them .   anyway ,  now  she’s  on  the  phone  with  her  ives ,   since  she  heard  through  the  grape  vine  about  a  certain  breakup .    ❛  so  kite  man ?  ❜   she  swallows  thickly  on  her  end  of  the  line ,   pressing  her  lips  together  tightly  to  bite  back  a  LAUGH .   ❛  thats ,  uh ,   that’s  different .   sorry  fer  your  loss ?   it’s  nice  ta  hear  from  you  again ,   cause ....   i’ve  missed  ya .  ❜

Time to get spooky @ofall-love​ | Nell

                    ❛  I’m BORED,  ❜   she gives a rather dramatic huff, watching the new family unpack boxes in Hill House.  It’s always so DULL with people like this, who’ve got no sixth sense about them.  They’re all clueless and blissful, and Rebekah is more than ready to rip that away from them in a most violent way.  She’s standing right in front of their bloody faces, and not a single hair on the back of their necks is raised.  Disappointing, really.  Of course, she’s not really actively trying to make her presence known yet, but that’s besides the point.  ❛  Nell love, whilst we wait for these fools to settle in, might we discuss the prospects here?  Which one should we toy with first?  ❜

                     it’s  10 p.m.  on  a  friday  night  and  she  should  be  getting  completely  toasted  at  the  nearest  club ,  but  instead  she’s  standing  at  the  back  entrance  of  a  hotel  with  a  few  other  eager  fans .    all  waiting  to  meet  the  man  of  the  hour  --   that  hunky  BRUCE  WAYNE  guy .    harley’s  got  a  dog  collar  with  his  name  on  it  and  everything .    honestly ,  her  friend  barbara  convinced  her  to  do  this ,   she’s  a  bigger  fan  than  harls ,  but  any  excuse  to  dress up  and  meet  a  celebrity  right ?   ❛  oh --   mistah  wayne !   over  here !  ❜

                      It’d been TEN YEARS since she’d seen him.  An eternity really.  There was a time in the past that Rebekah had LOATHED her ex husband, shortly after their divorce.  As hating him was easier than acknowledging the truth. That she was utterly shattered, and heart broken.  And alone.  Things had gotten so toxic, and messy at the end.  

                      But she’d had time on her side, and it’d been a long while since she hated him. She’d never stopped MISSING HIM though.

                      When she’d heard Damon was back in Mystic Falls, she’d wondered about him.  If he was alright.  What he’d been up to all of these years.  Perhaps things were better left where they’d been, with completely severed ties.  Yet Rebekah found herself at his door on this evening.  In his arms.  And for a brief moment she closed her eyes and she was taken back to happier times.  When he was her WORLD.  Stupid girl.  Where was Nik when she needed him to put her in her place?  

                      With a soft sigh, she pulled away.  The gentlest smile playing at her lips.  As it truly was good to see him.  ❛ I would quite like to come in, so long as I’m not interrupting anything. ❜

                       A new car rolled up at the Golden Tip, and Ernie sent Rebekah out to pump some gas.  He was some sort of genius when it came to figuring out client’s preferences.  ❛ Hello love, ❜   her voice was honey sweet, and light, as she leaned into the open window.  Just enough to get a better look at the precious girl behind the wheel.   ❛ What can I do for you? ❜  ( @lillianbeck​ )

WE  INTERRUPT  YOUR  PROGRAMMING.   THIS  IS  A  NATIONAL  EMERGENCY.   THE  NATIONAL  OCEANIC  AND  ATMOSPHERIC  ADMINISTRATION  HAS  DETECTED  A  SIGNIFICANT  ENVIRONMENTAL  EVENT  THAT  WILL  AFFECT . . .

                      Rebekah listened as the rest of the country did, to the announcement that cut into her episode of the Bachelor.  It was on every channel.  Every radio station.  An emergency alert blaring from every phone.  There was some EVENT in California.  A massive earthquake --- or several?  Apparently it had only just happened because she couldn’t find any definitive details.  And it made her go into something of a panic.  WHY she chose to reach out to her ex before anyone else was really beyond her, but she didn’t really stop to think about it.  

                     [ sms; Lillian ]  Are you alright?                      [ sms; Lillian ]  Tell me you’re not in LA.

                     this  job  was  going  to  EAT HER ALIVE.    thats  what  she’d  heard  on  repeat  from  her  superiors.   it’s  like  they  set  her  up  for  failure,  assigning  her  to  the  clown  prince  of  crime  himself.   but  she  would  handle  this.   she  would  handle  HIM.   maybe  even  do  what  everyone  said  was  impossible  and  REHABILITATE  him.  

                     now  she  found  herself  in  a  most  precarious  situation.  standing  outside  of  his  cell.  in  the  sub  sub  sub  sub  basement  of  arkham,   regarding  the  joker  through  the  thick  black  lenses  of  her  glasses.   was  he  going  to  play  hardball  with  her ??    she’d  taken  on  killer  croc  her  very  first  day  on  the  job.   she  could  handle  a  challenge.   in  fact,  she  relished  a  challenge.    the  joker  was  just  what  she  needed.

                    doctor  leland  wouldn’t  be  pleased,  but  she  marched  into  his  cell,   glaring  over  her  spectacles  at  the  towering  guard  that  followed  her  in.   just  enough  to  force  him  give  her  some  space  with  her  patient.    this  was  something  of  a  trust  building  exercise.  

                  what  a  curious  thing  it  was  to  finally  see  the  menace  of  gotham  in  person.
