What a wonderful surprise this was. It wasn’t uncommon for her to run into coworkers within the city---she had multiple times the last time she was dragged here---but this was one she hadn’t seen in quite some time. Even back home. Perhaps it was due to the fact they both kept locked up due to their respective research, but that was such a tragedy was it not? Not exchanging information with your coworkers? Well there was information exchange certainly, but not in person.
She didn’t actually mind that.
It was to be a boon to her to keep in contact with him here. He was an asset. It was unlikely he retained any of his abilities to a useful degree within this city, but his brain should still be there for the picking. That was more than enough for now.
“Dr. De Kuiper, how lovely to see you,” a smile plastered on her face as she approached, hands resting clasped behind her back.
“I take it you’ve gotten yourself acquainted with the city? Or are you still settling in.”
