Sam- Sleeps on her left side, with her right hand under her pillow, knees usually at a 90 degree angle. Usually she has a stake or a knife under the pillow. She doesn't think she really needs it every time, but it makes her feel safe. Her legs move while she's asleep, and if anybody else is in the bed with her she will cuddle up to them in her sleep without fail. She doesn't mean to, it's just her body going to a source of heat. She looks calm when asleep, she wakes up really easy, but how long it takes her to get out of bed depends on how she slept.
Ann- Sprawls across the entire bed on her back. Needs a cold room to fall asleep in, and will wake up sweaty. Falls asleep pretty easy, and wakes up just as easily. One of those people that actually exercises first thing in the morning.
Balder- His face is really loose when he's sleeping, and he kind of drools to be honest. He glares at anybody who tries to wake him up, except for Danny or small children. When his sister tries to wake him up he rolls over and ignores her. This usually leads to Ann jumping on the bed and him to wake him up, which will either end in him stubbornly staying asleep or "Okay! Fine! Fine, I'm up!"
Danny- Sleeps on his right side, hands are out in front of his chest, legs out, bent only very slightly. He rolls over to other sides a few times when he's first fallen asleep, but after it's been a few hours he stays like that until he wakes up. He has a really small smile on his face when he's sleeping, he wakes up easy when he has an alarm- people talking to him almost puts him back to sleep.
May- Sleeps on her back, one hand up by her head, the other down by her side. She sleeps better with a pillow underneath her knees. She looks serene when she's asleep, but she wakes up very easily.
Vincent- Sleeps on his stomach, arms wrapped around his pillow. He moves around a lot in his sleep. He never wakes up in the position he falls asleep in. Usually he wakes up on his side, knees tucked up to his chest, head tilted downwards (usually taking it off the pillow), arms around his knees, so basically he wraps into a ball. He looks troubled in his sleep, brows furrowing and face scrunching up, relatively hard to wake up. He wakes up a few times during the night and falls back asleep.
I don't know, I was just thinking about my muse's daily schedule. I mean, her sleep patterns are the same for pretty much every verse.
At night she hunts or at least patrols, then she goes to bed and sleeps until the afternoon or evening. Those 8 hours or so where she's not hunting or sleeping she could be getting information, working for money, or even just relaxing.
The reason I was thinking of this though is that I don't know I just thought it was sad at first. Like, Sam loves being out in the sun, she likes the warmth and everything and feels safe. But half of the time the sun is out she's asleep so that she can be awake the whole time it's dark.
Then I was like, well YEAH. It's dangerous at night so she doesn't feel safe sleeping when it's dark. I mean vampires can't, for the most part, get to her when she sleeps while the sun is out. Honestly, not sure if that's better or worse.
