Hope’s Peak Academy — a government-sanctioned school created exclusively for students with exceptional talents. Famously known as “The World’s Hope”, whereas students that graduate are guaranteed success — to become leaders of their generation. The school itself is built at the heart of Tokyo, massive in size with five floors and dormitories for both students and staff. The school features chemistry labs, a biology lab, an indoor greenhouse, kitchens and top of the line equipment.
Close by the school, but not directly attached, is a HPA shop, filled with school supplies and merchandise. HPS hats, sweaters, t-shirts, buttons, glow-sticks, little keychains. Our story starts in one of the rows in said store, by the rubber bracelets and beer bottle openers, where a certain figure hooks her finger around a keychain loop and, smoothly, without hesitation, slips it in her pocket.
“The World’s Hope” they say. “They’ll lead Hope into the new world!”
“...”
Yeah, yeah she was stealing.
That said, it wasn’t really your everyday school-boy trick — she seemed to know the exact spot to ensure her back was facing the security camera and the shelf would block her front. She was a picture of sophistication and cool — nothing like someone who frantically looked over their shoulder, who spared glances at the people surrounding them and shot them guilty smiles.
Speaking of people surrounding her, perhaps they’d (or the... one person) would be the only people in the store that were in just the right place to actually notice her sly movements.
Not that she really seemed to care, of course.
