* Luckily for Chara, this was hardly the first time they had been put through the SOUL wiggler. It was a little strange having a Frisk wield such frightening power, but ultimately, it made no difference who was heaving their SOUL around the room with nothing more than a flick of the hand; this always ended the S A M E way, and only carelessness (on both their parts) could affect the outcome.
* But God, Chara’s getting tired of this. They put some distance between them and their E N E M Y , trying to get a read on their next move. In the meantime, a bit more taunting couldn’t possibly hurt.
* Oh, come on, that was great~! You’re not even gonna dignify it with a response? I spent at least three WHOLE seconds coming up with that bit of comedy gold, and all I get is a wimpy “RRRRRRRRAHHHH CHARA YOU’RE SO EVIL GIVE ME BACK ALL THE PEOPLE YOU MURDERED!!!!” ???? Geeze, Frisk, if you’re going to make an attempt on my life, at least give me something to work with!
* Chara’s grin grows ever-wider as they laugh, brandishing their knife like a judge’s gavel.
* But really, do you think that killing me is going to change anything? The only thing I share with YOUR Chara is a name and a face and a rather disturbing appetite for m u r d e r , and that last one has become pretty arguable, depending on who you ask. Seriously, no wonder you couldn’t stop them, H e r o ; you can hardly stand~! Here’s a friendly tip; even if you have freaky-deaky SOUL powers, don’t pick fights you can’t win, especially when those fights are against me.
* Chara rolls their eyes, unamused.
* So, are you gonna give up, or do I have to do this the hard way?
They got up as if the blue attack was nothing. To Frisk, it was as if every movement, every word was a stab at their loss. Frisk clenched their teeth through Chara’s taunting and winced at the others’s impression. It…did sound a little like that…
As Chara’s knife rose to a threatening position, Frisk felt their head pound. They clutched their head, pain flashed across their face. The memory appeared in their head before they could stop it.
*No matter what happens, we will always be there to protect you.
Toriel wrapped her arms around them and hugged them tightly. They hugged back before they were forcibly pushed out of the room. The large doors slammed shut as Frisk tried in vain to reach them. An explosion rang out just as they reached the handle and there, everything went black.
Flames erupted from their SOUL and their eye blazed red. And when they looked into their cracked SOUL, they could faintly see two figures. Their faces were familiar…and their smile, encouraging.
* But really, do you think that killing me is going to change anything?
Chara’s voice snapped them out of their stupor and they scowled. Their second line, seemed to catch Frisk off guard.
* The only thing I share with YOUR Chara is a name and a face
The flames flickered out suddenly and their eye color returned to a dim brown. Their SOUL felt cold again… Frisk stared at Chara and felt their anger begin to flare once more.
* So, are you gonna give up, or do I have to do this the hard way?
*THEN WHO ARE YOU? YOU LOOK LIKE THEM. YOU KILLED THEM!
They pointed an accusing finger at Chara. Frustration got the better of them as they readied another lightning bolt. Electricity crackled in their hand as their SOUL flared brilliantly to match. But they hesitated…
*I just wanted to see them again. I WILL KILL CHARA.
