THE ACE OF VESSELS REVERSED
The Ace of Vessels represents renewal, human desire, and memory. Like the other Vessel cards, it stands for romance, relationships, and being of the heart. It resides in Autumn, the season of water.
When we look back on the past, it can be tempting to see things as much better than they are now. We remember the easy parts, the fun parts, and tend to ignore what gave us trouble. Rarely if ever is there a time in our lives that is free of stress. Looking back with nostalgia can be fun but also damaging, as it gives a false idea of our experience and implies that we are worse off than we once were. It can even lead to feelings of remorse, as we can view decisions in our lives as ‘mistakes’ and see the future as hopeless. Now we may have a particularly difficult time being honest with our past, but ignoring the reality of our former lives only weakens the lives we have yet to make.

THE TEN OF STONES REVERSED
The Ten of Stones represents home. Like the other Stone cards, it stands for security, tradition, and being of the body. It resides in Winter, the season of earth.
There are many ways to define home, be it by family, safety, comfort, or other less defined reasons. Anyone can tell us their own interpretation of home, but ultimately we know in our hearts where we most want to lay our heads. Through some sort of upheaval, that sense of security is lost to us now. Perhaps a beloved family member is away, or we are unsure of our safety within the four walls we reside in. Whatever the case, allow yourself the time to mourn your loss and strategize for better horizons -no matter what it takes, our need for shelter must come first.

THE FOUR OF BOWS
The Four of Bows represents Celebration. Like the other Bow cards, it stands for passion, enterprise, and being of the spirit. It resides in Summer, the season of Fire.
After a long, hard journey, taking the time to review our accomplishments and be proud of ourselves may seem superfluous or even silly. But we owe it to ourselves to take pride in what we’ve done and look back on our adventures with appreciation for our hard work. Celebrate what you have accomplished, no matter how small, in whatever way you deem fit. This may mean spending a night out with friends, or opening a new bottle of wine and having a relaxing night to yourself. However you feel most at peace and happy, give yourself the time to experience it.

THE NINE OF BOWS REVERSED
The Nine of Bows represents respect. Like the other Bow cards, it stands for the spirit, science, and passion. It resides in Summer, the season of Fire.
One of the most damaging phrases a child can learn is ‘respect is earned, not given.’ In a world that seeks to de-legitimize a person’s struggles in the name of comfort, we must work to tear down this notion that a person must be worthy before they can be respected. Recent events may make it difficult for you to recognize another person’s struggles, but remember that the world is infinitely deeper than we can ever know. Assuming we should not treat someone well until they prove themselves leads only to disharmony and anger. We all have our difficulties, and the more conscious we are, the easier we will come to recognize them.

THE EIGHT OF STONES REVERSED
The Eight of Stones represents skill. Like the other Stone cards, it stands for tradition, safety, and the physical self. It resides in Winter, the season of Earth.
Something may be preventing you from acknowledging or utilizing one of your well-honed skills. Perhaps you are suffering a creative block, or have injured yourself in a way that prevents you from practicing what you love. Many of us experience a powerful anxiety when we cannot practice our skills, as if we are afraid we will lose them. But what you loved once will not vanish because you need to rest.

The Six of Bows represents abundance. Like the other Bow cards, it stands for science, spirit, and enterprise. It resides in Summer, the season of Fire.
Take care to heed your body’s warnings. When we feel we are flourishing or are reaping the hard work we have sown, it is easy to rest on our laurels. Notice when you may be feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated, even if that is with positive experiences. Never feel ashamed to step back and let yourself rest, regardless of what you perceive others reactions will be. Be aware of what your body needs, and remember that self-care is a constant process.
