"Happy birthday!" The Doctor beamed with a smile. “I love days like these! I stopped celebrating after the second hundred, but who cares! Where and when would you like to go to celebrate? Any time and place!” ------------

The first thing that popped to Thera's mind was, how did he keep track? Of his own, that was, given his endless ... wibbly-wobbly. Twists and turns. But as far as other people's birthdays were concerned, she supposed that with a time machine he could jump from one to another, or go back and catch the ones he'd missed. Never a 'belated' unless it needed to be.

"Thank you! And believe it or not, I know the feeling." She chuckled, clicked her tongue, "I haven't always celebrated, so much, but I like to mark the day when it comes around."

As to his question, though ... well, she was both touched by the gesture and entirely spoiled for choice. "How about a funfair? The more modern kind where they don't have animal attractions." She enjoyed the rides and the sideshows, but bloodsports always got her in trouble. "Santa Monica Pier? Brighton Palace? Or is there something with that vibe on some other world?"

“Alright listen, Gallifrey’s-Most-Annoying ...” Patience could, sometimes, be one of Thera’s stronger suits. But even if this had been a ‘sometimes’ there wewre limits, and yet another barely-hidden pained grunt from her companion had tipped it over the edge.

“You can lean on me, or I will carry you.” And it was up to him if she did it a dignified way or over her shoulder, “Human gender norms don’t apply to Time Lords, remember? So quit being macho about it and come here.”

She’s fine until the last one; they argue good-naturedly, the way people comfortable with each other do, they have more than a few good laughs. But ... ‘nice eyes’? That’s not the sort of thing she expects from the Doctor, delivered on that stupid side-cocked grin - and she has to wonder if he’s having one of those ‘good laughs’ on her ...

They both knew that wasn’t strictly true, not literally, but the irony of it made the joke. And maybe a gloss-over of the knowledge that she was one of the ‘not many’.

But regardless, he was on her doorstep now, all gangling limbs, broad grin and sticky-uppy hair. Thera stepped back to let him in, trying to recall if what sort of tea she had on hand; not to mention chocolate biscuits, because she could handle some of those herself.

“Alright, you’ll have to refresh me - which message was it? Cos I sent a few.”

sunbaeeeee.

he wasn’t the best when it came to keeping up with his sunbaes. he wasn’t a fan of chaos or she’z really, he just liked lee seunggi and a few indie artists. really, he wasn’t the most studied idol in training, but if he kept up with anyone well enough, it was convex. one of his best friends was a member of the group, so he couldn’t help but keep an eye on them. so far all of his sunbaes that he had met had been kind to him as well, including zero. 

running into him in the sphere building, it was rare, but he was happy about it, bearing a friendly, warm smile as he laid eyes on him. “hey sunbae!” he greets excitedly, bowing out of respect. “congratulations on convex’s successful promotions! you must be pretty happy and proud.” june would’ve been happy and proud if the group he had debuted in had won first place on a music show. 

“do you guys get a break now? or are you onto more promotion preparations?” in all honesty, june wasn’t certain how it all worked still. even within their own halls things were pretty secretive and tight lipped. he never got to see how promotion prep worked, or how long it took, nothing. convex was kept pretty separate from the trainees, as any sunbae group would be. still, june was clueless about the process, and he couldn’t curb his curiosity.

8 9 ten

junmyeon didn't have the pleasure of seeing the convex members around often, but when he did get the rare chance to see them, he had sparkles in his eyes. they were all really talented and amazing to him, true blue idols walking and talking before him. they were what he was aspiring to be one day. junmyeon knew he wasn’t even close to ready to being an idol yet, but maybe one day he could be. 

he didn’t really know the convex members outside of sehun, but he had heard of ten before. johnny had mentioned him a few times, and had nothing but good things to say about him, so junmyeon figured if he were to approach anyone outside of sehun that was in convex, ten would be the one. he manages to catch a glimpse of some of them walking through the halls, and he smiles and bows to them as they cross paths, stopping to gesture to ten himself. 

“hi! i’m junmyeon, i’m a friend of johnny’s. you must be the famous ten he talks about, right?” oh god what if this wasn’t ten and junmyeon was making a butt of himself? he hoped he had the right guy.
