Destruction. Total disregard for the buildings themselves.
Sorey had left these buildings alone for merely one day since he’d found them all abandoned left on the edges of town where few dared to stay. Now he returns to them to find them in smoldering heaps of rubble. There in front of the wreckage is from what he can tell a girl with her back to him, she hasn’t made any move to leave and he would wonder about her but the damage takes hold of his attention.
“What happened here?”
Maybe she saw something.
