I know I said Oliver and Chloe are one of the ultimate couples and while true,I am torn by Chloe and Clark. It’s strange because in high school I do not ship them at all, as best friends yes but as love interest no. I do love their story lines though! It just wouldn’t work in that time period and seems so wrong in that time period to me, if Lana didn’t exist then 500% yes in high school. As adults, I don’t think I could ship two beings more. They might even top Lois and Clark for me or tie at least.

There’s so much to say for them and I don’t want to get 10000 pages long but..

I don’t think there was a better match for Clark, or for Chloe but I also think they could have been one of the worst matches depending on how it was executed. I mean, these two have been best friends forever, they know each other like the back of their hands. They know each others bad days and good days, bad sides and good sides. These are two people who’ve walked along side each other through grade 8, high school, being young adults and adults. So you can see how it could be bad or good if they did ever end up together. Chloe isn’t afraid to stand up to Clark, tell him when he’s wrong, what the world needs, when he’s being a dick and Clark doesn’t like it sometimes, but it’s true and it’s genuine because why would his best friend lie? And I think that makes him love her more, that she has no guard up for him, she’ll say or do whatever she pleases and he knows its in his best interest to listen because – it’s Chloe, she knows him better than he knows himself and sometimes he doesn’t realize that. 

So many people say they don’t see them as a couple, or that either of them liked each other but it’s been obvious since the pilot. At first it was Chloe having a crush, then they both had a crush and I think after Tempest, they both still really liked each other but kept lying to each other about their feelings so they didn’t mess up their friendship and that says a lot. Even as adults, it’s so damn obvious they’re in love with each other, I mean.. all they want is for each other to be happy and I think they don’t realize that should be with each other. Even as adults, they get jealous of who ever the other is dating and heart broken. I think Clark and Chloe both know, at the same time, that they THINK they can never be who the other wants them to be but in reality, they both like each other just the way the other is. They wouldn’t change anything about them.

Chloe: It’s just that … we’ve been friends for such a long time. 

Clark: We’re more than just friends, Chloe. 

Chloe: When Jimmy and I get married, things will probably change … between us, I mean. And I don’t know if I’m ready for that just yet. Are you? 

Clark: I know that your happiness is one of the most important things in the world to me … and that you and Jimmy will have a wonderful life together. Don’t worry about anything else.

Clark Kent: You never gave up. 

Chloe Sullivan: And I never will. 

Clark Kent: I just want you to be happy. Chloe Sullivan: Clark, what you and I have, I will never have with anyone else. 

I think they’re awesome and that if Lana never existed, Clark and Chloe would have dated through grade 8 and high school and possibly married.

Now that I’m back, and hopefully for good, I thought I’d give a shout out and some love to all my amazing followers, roleplay partners and friends. I started this blog out with a ton of fear, thinking the Smallville fandom had died down and that not many people would want to write with me or even know the version I write of Clark but I got lucky and made some awesome friends, have great threads with skilled roleplay partners and have got an enormous amount of love, with that being said, here’s me giving some of that love back.

I know I should be doing replies but I built up my queue until the weekend and have all replies in my drafts. I need a week of nothing (besides work of course), Chester (Linkin Park’s lead singer’s) death hit me more than I expected, thought I’d be able to be okay but I’m devastated, kind of in denial and torn the hell up from it. I can’t focus much, I have no creativity and I’m just so fucking sad. So, for the sake of my sanity and well being, I’m putting my own mental health first and I’m sure you all understand, even if this sounds ridiculous. I’ll hopefully be doing replies by the weekend, but if not I’ll post an update.

At the moment that I’m writing this, my data is being eaten to shit and the internet is as slow as possible, but.. I am surrounded by beautiful scenery, a big yellow house (which is actually huge) a very familiar barn and the largest piece of land I think I’ve ever seen someone own.

At this very moment, I am on the Kent Farm.

The actual farm, not the set and not the one from Man of Steel, the Smallville one.

I wanted to write something while I’m here, I didn’t know what so I just started writing this and let the words come to me as I tap on my apparently very dirty phone that I need to clean. 

Visiting this place was always a dream to me that I never thought I’d achieve and being here is the most surreal experience I’ve ever felt. Smallville was/is one of my favorite shows, I grew up to it, I went through some pretty trying times and then that weeks episode would be based around something I was going through, the show made me laugh, made me happy, made me sad and it really helped shape a lot of the views and out looks I have. Seeing this place in person is kind of like being a kid waking up on Christmas morning, feeling that magic.

Because of the show, I write Clark and he and I are a like but so different at the same time and I guess that’s what draws me to him, how similar yet opposite we are with many things. Despite how big of a hypocrite he is in the early seasons, there is a lot to learn from him and to see his home as someone who writes him is indescribable. I’m very very lucky for all of this and to not only write him but currently take a walk in his shoes is probably the greatest thing a writer can experience, and a fan too.

Well, I’m going to look around in awe for as long as I can and then head home. If anyone actually read all this, thank you for being a part of what makes this all so amazing, helping me keep Clark alive and explore his world.

btw: I was there around 9 am to 11 am. I had to queue this but just know this was written while I was there.
