I WILL NOT SUFFER ALONE. This is 164k words of incredible university au gavries angst and it hasn’t been updated since SEPTEMBER 2025. But you know what? It’s still so worth reading. In fact please read this so i have people to talk about it with while we make a prayer circle that it is not abandoned.
I should note, this fic is based off of the book, NOT the movie. So when im reading it, some characters still look like their movie actors regardless of what the author writes (david jonsson haunts my mind). The characterization of certain characters also differs based on the book. Regardless, this is so well written i think most tlw movie fans will enjoy it.

This was such a good fic, I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already! I love the modern, magical world this is set in, with Remus and Lily as hedges and the House Cup tournament and all the wonderful, funny, heartbreaking, angsty and lovely moments that come with it. It's definitely a new personal favorite of mine, and one of those fics I keep thinking about and keep wanting to go back to.

“you are on my ship now, and anyone on my ship does what i say,” snaps yoongi, and when he takes a step closer to jeongguk, jeongguk realizes that he’s actually taller than yoongi. strangely, he hadn’t noticed it before, because yoongi doesn’t seem like a small man. especially now, with that fiery look on his face, he seems larger than life—but jeongguk refuses to back down. it’s a bad idea to argue, he knows, but jeongguk has never been very good at stopping himself from doing something he’ll regret.
(or: when jeongguk finally gets his chance to sail the cosmos, it’s onboard the ship of an aggravating man named min yoongi. he thinks it’ll be extraordinarily dull—but the universe, and the legend of treasure planet, have other plans.)
