Whoever thought it was a brilliant idea to let other players phase into your cutscenes in public areas in SWTOR--
You know…
I never really noticed Knives’ blades are loaded in pairs. This is incredibly functional when they turn to hooks but also… inflict less damage when folded and so require a lot more pressure when they need to slice through.
I hate how quickly the animation was that I didn’t pick up on this earlier; I was so confused with Ep. 3, when he was pulling at those women without so much as scratching at them… but it makes sense, now. 😤
Also, so mad that he’s the one being made completely industrial-looking while he is utterly and desperately the most organic one in terms of inner mechanisms.
Ahh, but he’s also raw—yeah, okay. I hate Orange for far too many petty reasons already, but this has a different flavour yet. >:E
Edit: I forgot to mention… Freaking INSANE THAT HIS DOUBLE BLADES CUT VASH’S HAND INSTANTLY AND CLEANLY—IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MESS OF MINCED FLESH!!! yk… btw.
Adventures in Prescriptions
Me: Huh, Very Important Prescription that will give me zaps, tremors, and numb lips if I miss a dose is currently overdue for refill and I am out.
Me: Looks like the Rx is listed as expired, and CVS has been reaching out to the doctor for the last week. I will call the doctor.
17 minute hold later..
Me: Hi, Doctor's Office! My prescription is currently held up at the Pharmacy. It looks like the prescription expired.
Doctor's Office: It was for a full year, so it should last until May 2023. You'll have to call CVS and see what's wrong on their end.
15 minute hold later...
Me: Hi, I have a question about a prescription?
CVS: Hmm... oh, yes, this prescription expired. It was sent in too long ago and we need a new one, even though you still have refills.
Me: So I need to...
CVS: Call your doctor, yes.
25 minute hold later...
Doctor's Office: Oh, shoot you're right, it is expired
Me: Yeah, so if I could just get a new one...
Doctor's Office: Unfortunately since your PCP retired, you aren't listed as being under our care anymore. We need you to have a new appointment to establish care.
Me: Oh, uh... well I got a new PCP this week elsewhere, but she's not in the office today, so I was hoping...
Doctor's Office: We'll get you on the books and I'll flag this as urgent, and hopefully they'll prescribe for you tomorrow or something... Or if your doc gets back to you, you can cancel the appointment.
Me: *sigh* Okay, thank you very much. When's the soonest I can be seen?
Doctor's Office: Tuesday.
Me: *stares at the fact that it is Thursday*
Me: *adds another freaking doctor appointment to the calendar*
5 minute hold later...
New Doctor Office: I'm so sorry, she's not in today. But I'll leave her a message and she can get back to you as soon as possible.
Me: Thank you.
Time to batten down the hatches and get ready for my nervous system to glitch on me for the next five days. -_-
“scary monster” - 50% “energy drink”
I like how the opposite of “energy drink” is apparently crocheted yarn
Absolutely vile when you buy a travel bag and the site lists it as 100% cotton, washable by hand and it turns out it is 100% cotton and also a 100% un-washable dirtcarcher that can’t be washed or dry cleaned.
Bitch… I hope you go belly up!
There are things in this world that are annoying and triggering and are divided in categories:
First, are those that you encounter randomly but are rare so the most efficient thing to do is learn to ignore them.
Then are those that are so incorporated in the norms of society that you are forced to encounter them on the daily, everywhere, all the time, that all you can do is get used to them.
And then… then are those things that are not that common or occurring as often but you still encounter them in random places every now and then and… this is the worst. The worst, because you can’t ignore it since you know you it will pop up at some corner pretty soon and at the same time it’s not as in your face to get desensitised to it… Like, what else is there to do but commit “burn this circus”?! 🤡
