More than 753,000 signatures submitted to support Reproductive Freedom For All ballot proposal

More than 2,000 volunteers helped gather signatures far exceeding the 425,059 required. Assuming the signatures are verified and deemed sufficient, the proposal would appear on the November ballot.

The Reproductive Freedom for All campaign and its coalition, volunteers and supporters collected 753,759 signatures from every county in the state to qualify for the November ballot, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan announced Monday morning.

More than 2,000 volunteers helped gather signatures far exceeding the 425,059 required. The coalition says it garnered more signees than any previous ballot initiative in state history and submitted its petition July 11 to the Michigan Secretary of State. The proposal, assuming   signatures are verified and declared sufficient by the Board of State Canvassers, would appear on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Boy, 10, reported missing in Saginaw

Police are seeking the public's help in finding the missing boy.

Javari Brock was last seen walking his dog around 1 p.m. in the 3700 block of Harold Street on the city’s East Side. The dog returned home but Javari did not, according to Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Oscar Lopez.

Javari was last seen wearing an orange/red winter coat, a blue University of Michigan hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots.

Police are asking anyone who has seen Javari or has knowledge of his whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
