I know, I know. It sounds like a porno. But it's not. I promise. I found this exercise series on my cable company's OnDemand section (OnDemand >> Sports >> Exercise). I had read a brief description about it in a little postcard that came in the mail a month before. I wanted to try it, but hadn't found the time until a month later.
I started the with the Lower body 1 video. It didn't take long at all for me to feel the burn of the workout. The video consists of a lot of squats and on the floor leg movements. The only thing you need for level one is a towel to help you stretch afterwards. You could probably use a mat if your floor is hard (like mine). The workout is pretty straightforward and not very difficult to do. It's about twenty minutes long, including stretching after. The first time I did the workout, I hadn't worked out in a long time. I should have built myself up for it, but I didn't. I couldn't walk the day after without holding on to something. My legs felt like noodles. It wasn't long before that went away and it started feeling good, though. My thighs were hardening and it seemed like my butt has lifted a bit.
The only con I had about this workout series is that the trainer, Pauline Nordin, talks too much and the things she says are kind of annoying. I do have to say that some of the things she says can be quite humorous because you're getting annoyed at her constant yapping. Like, "Ass to the grass" and talking about how you can crack nuts with your cheeks. I've also read reviews where people complain that she doesn't use "perfect form" and how people have hurt themselves trying to copy her form.
I haven't finished the entire series (I've only done Lower Body 1 and Upper Body 1), but I plan to try the Workout plan for what's remaining of this week (09-25 - 10-01) for week one. There's also a Meal Guideline available for download for free. It's pretty straightforward and what you should be eating anyway.
There are some videos available for preview on Exercise.tv and Exercise.tv has uploaded some other videos of the series on YouTube (none of them are full videos). They're only about thirty seconds long, but they'll give you an idea of whether or not you'd like the workouts.
