It's your first day at your new job and you couldn't be happier. You dressed up in your cutest work outfit and sit at your desk, already decorated with some cheerful accessories to help you keep your smile. As the lead receptionist talks you through everything there's a bit of a stir outside the office.
“Mr. Levinson is here for a meeting,” she whispers. “Be wary around him. He can be dangerous.” She goes and opens the doors to the office and greets a very large man with long hair and a beard. “Mr. Levinson,” she bows slightly. “Please, right this way.”
“I know where I'm going,” Levinson growls. “I've had too many meetings in this place. Your boss will be paying up.”
“Of course, Mr. Levinson,” she says as she leads him to the office.
He stops when he sees you. He looks at your desk and muses at all the cutesy things about you. “You're new,” he muses.
“Yes, sir. Mr. Levinson. Just started today,” you say with a smile.
He's not used to cute. He's not used to being greeted with a smile like yours. He stalks off to the office and thinks to himself. If your new boss doesn't pay up, maybe there's another bartering chip that he can work with.
