Signing papers is such a chore. Not only is the whole process a troublesome eye strain for him, but the result never looks anything like his real signature, the one he leaves carved on his enemies! Couldn't someone come up with a special type of paper that cuts like actual skin for him to use?

Maybe Albedo will come up with something. BUT for now, he has at least made a personal stamp just for Lohen, to sign his papers faster. And he loves the thing so much that he never goes anywhere without it. Just like his dagger. And his supply of poisons. And his crossbow. And his throwing knives. And his spear... You get the point!

Is it really THAT strange then that he'd reward such a heartfelt gift with one of his own? All his letters and reports now — although still a collaborative effort in terms of who's written them, who's dictated them, who's held who on gunpoint so the other would hurry the hell up, etc. — are sealed in his own personal bubblegum. Yes, the candy Lohen painstakingly makes all by himself.

The Captain of the Investigation Team had better appreciate the effort!
