Redemption Arc

Your story had a pretty rough start and you did some things you're not proud of, but you made the choice to change. I won't go through how important it is to accept responsibility and keep striving to improve or whatever because you know that already. What I think you should know is that your fuel does not need to be shame. You don’t need to stand over the bathroom sink with your blood in your hands until you can no longer make out your reflection. you will look at your face and you will see the person you used to be, but that person no longer exists. Today, you are looking, and that makes all the difference.

Maybe it's your energy or maybe it's your style but people can't help but let their eyes linger on you for a few moments longer than they planned. You have an aura about you that has people hesitating to step closer in fear of disturbing it. Not that they could, standing beside you probably illuminates them right along with you!

Cassius was….an enigma, to say the least. They had spoken a handful of times, and Master Gula had mentioned him offhandedly maybe once. None of his experiences were entirely…pleasant. It was obvious Cassius was trying to make some kind of point that was just going over Quest’s head.

Especially now, as the blond wielder had him trapped in a corner in the backstreets of town. He specifically waited for him to walk most of his party members home, waited until he was alone, to speak with him. Quest bites down on his lip.

Liar. He hates liars.

Cassius had obviously found this out.

‘We’re fine Quest! It’s just a cold’. A familiar voice rings in his head.

“You can blame my parents for that.” Quest said, keeping his head high and his gaze straight on the other wielder. “They weren’t good liars themselves.”

‘D-Don’t cry sweetie, we’re just t-taking a nap.’ The voice returned, then faded as quickly as it came. Quest has to clench his fists at his sides to not reach out and try to pull it back.

“Now, did you want anything besides to call me a poor liar?” He sighed, letting his fingers uncurl once he had calmed himself down. “I doubt Master Gula appreciates you harassing the wielders, Cassius.”
