Judith had actually spent quite some time trying to figure himself out before he'd decided to fake his death in such a way. Notably, he spent a few decades or so in Evereska- brushing shoulders with the Greycloaks, even, before ultimately deciding it wasn't for him. Even around other elves, he couldn't help but feel alienated. He wandered a lot after that. But every time, his blood would come back to haunt him. It was only in becoming a hermit and cutting all threads that lead back to himself that he felt like he could finally be at peace. ...Is this the best life for him? He thinks so, for now, but... being so isolated can't be that great for him.
