The advantage of having been adopted on Halloween - and having it become their birthday - is that not only do they get even more candies, but they can also get away with doing even more pranks. It's truly their favorite day, and they were just standing there, dressed in their vampire costume, staring at the hero in front of them.
Having a hero celebrate your birthday is quite the miracle, but Kris sees Nice first and foremost as a person, the "hero" part is only secondary in their mind. Maybe because they're themselves a sort of hero in their own life, so it doesn't really affect their perspective? Now is not really the time to think deeper. Either way! They don't see Nice very often, so it's always a pleasure to meet him again, waving their hand to greet him.
