Isha held her throbbing head in her hands as she was experiencing another one of her episodes. She has gone through this before: the voices, the monsters, all of it. That doesn't mean it ever got easier. Especially if she thought someone was going to bail on her.  "No, they're going to come. They have to." She thought to herself. Ignoring the fact that her client was 30 minutes late, she continued to wait.

After five minutes, she checked her watch again and sighed. Another no show. Not like she was surprised. Security was all over Sol City these days.

That's when she heard the mutated crows cry. The crows never cried until there was someone there. She smiled: Her client has arrived.

“Huh, I didn't think you were actually going to come.”

Sea was walking down the busy sidewalk, lost in thought, when something—or rather, someone—caught the corner of his eye. Just as he turned to get a better look, he collided with a figure hunched over, seemingly engrossed in something peculiar.

He took a step back, raising an eyebrow as he looked down at the woman who was crouched over, doing… well, he wasn’t sure what. Maybe feeding pigeons? Inspecting the ground for treasure?

Clearing his throat, Sea crossed his arms, trying to hide the smirk creeping up on his face. "Uh, Kaia, right? What exactly are you doing down there?"

He glanced around, half expecting an explanation as ridiculous as whatever this scene was shaping up to be

Sea stood over the still figure of Nunnally's father, his brow furrowed in concentration as the low hum of his medical devices filled the room. The makeshift ICU was dimly lit, shadows dancing across the walls from the flickering neon signs outside the window. It wasn’t the clean, sterile environment he was used to back at the hospital, but he’d learned to adapt. He had to.

With a deep breath, Sea carefully adjusted the final settings on the life support machine, ensuring the induced coma was stable. He had done all he could for now. The man wouldn’t suffer—at least, not while Sea figured out a way to actually fix him. Time. He needed time, but that was a luxury he didn’t have.

Wiping his hands on a towel, Sea glanced over his shoulder toward the door. He knew she was out there—Nunnally, the mafia princess. Her presence in the house was palpable, an enigma wrapped in luxury and danger. Despite her poised appearance, there was a fire in her eyes, something that told him she wasn’t just a passive spectator in her father’s world anymore. She was stuck here, too, waiting—just like him—to see if her father would pull through.

He was supposed to leave once the job was done. But the longer her father stayed alive, the longer Sea was trapped in this gilded cage. If the old man died, Sea wouldn't make it out of this place alive, and everyone knew it.

Steeling himself, he left the room and stepped into the hall. The mansion’s opulence grated on him, a stark reminder of his own life left behind. He found Nunnally standing by the window, her figure framed by the neon glow outside. Her expression was unreadable, but there was a tension in the air between them.

"He's stable—for now," Sea said, breaking the silence. "But he's not out of the woods yet. I’ve put him in a coma to stop the pain while I figure out the next steps."

He paused, watching for any flicker of reaction from her. Would she be relieved? Angry? Or was she just biding her time like everyone else in this game of power and survival?

The night is settling in over Night City. It's 7 PM, and Sea, still hungover, stumbles out of the couch in nothing but a pair of boxers. His office, a transformed abandoned garage, is a cluttered mess of medical equipment and half-finished projects. The dim, flickering lights barely illuminate the room, casting long shadows over the scattered tools and old furniture.

Sea, groggy and disheveled, heads to the fridge to grab a drink when a soft knock at the door pulls him from his haze. He drags himself to the door, muttering under his breath about his usual bad luck. As he opens the door, his eyes lock onto Mukuro’s striking figure. Her face is perfectly made up, her nails immaculate, and her designer shoes glaringly out of place in this gritty part of the city.

His eyes widen slightly, and with a sharp intake of breath, he quickly slams the door shut. Through the thick metal door, he mutters, “Nope, that’s trouble.”

From the other side of the door, he adds, “I don’t do beautiful women.”

There’s a brief pause. Then, Sea opens the door just a crack, peeking out with a sheepish grin. “I mean... I do DO beautiful women, but you clearly aren’t here for that. You look too smart and polished. Trouble with a capital T.”

He eyes her cautiously but with a touch of reluctant admiration, ready to gauge how deep this unexpected trouble might run.

As Sea drifted off to sleep in his luxurious apartment, he was completely unaware of the visitor that was about to enter his room. The moon shone through the windows, casting a soft glow over his chiseled form, highlighting the contours of his muscles and the defined lines of his chest and arms.

He lay on top of the sheets, the soft fabric covering him from the waist down, leaving his torso exposed to the cool night air. The rhythmic rise and fall of his chest and the peaceful expression on his face gave him an innocence that belied his strict upbringing and his reputation as one of the best cardiothoracic surgeons in the field.

“We’re here!” Lou calls out heading inside with her daughter. She finds Echo and holds out the plates. “Where do we put the food?” She asks. Delia also holds up a plate. “Grandpa let me help make the mac and cheese.” The girl tells her proudly and Lou smiles. “Yeah I don’t trust myself to cook I called in her grandpa for reinforcements so I’m actually bringing in food everyone can eat this year.”

“Have they showed you the video diaries yet?” Lou asks as she looks over at Octavia. She has been crying, of course, she would Monty and Harper are her family or they were. “You should probably do it alone it’s a lot to take in.”
