CLOSED EVENT STARTER | @mcstardently (arthur) LOCATION | THE FESTIVAL OF SAMHAIN (honouring)
It was an oddly strange feeling that she didn’t expect to have. When her first husband died, she didn’t care to honour his passing other than what society demanded but in the quiet of her home she celebrated and moved on fast. It was different with her second husband. His recent passing was a surprise that left a new feeling she didn’t know how to quell or dismiss as easily as she did the first. There was love there in its own way, the two of them doing their own thing but coming back to each other and a respect so she felt that she wanted to honour him unlike the first husband. It seemed right. Still, it surprises her just how careful she is with writing his name onto the piece of paper and moving to the bonfire, feeling the paper heavier than she expected. “Hugo Winchester,” he whispers slowly and carefully, saying each syllable before casting the paper into the fire and not moving until every part of it turns to ashes. She was so locked into the sight that she didn’t notice the new King appear. At first, she’s surprised by how stinkingly beautiful he is. Not handsome, that seemed such a small word to describe his allure. Then, she collected herself and offered a bow. “If you want time to yourself, your grace, please forgive me. I assume you are here for similar reasons as I am and I know how much silence can help peace come to you when thinking of those we’ve lost.”
