the water was steaming hot to ward off the chilling cold. beth was more than relieved when she had slid into the tub. even if she did like winter, the weather was starting to get to her. she hadn't been at the lab that day because she had been running some errands. the last thing that she imagined was that she would run into an old co worker from oscorp. they had gone to get coffee since she didn't want to be rude. after that she had been forced to wait since the train had been down. that was what had resulted in her bolting up to the master bathroom in morbius' family home. she was absently humming as she ran the loofah along her bare legs. at least until she heard the sound of the floor creaking which caused her head to tilt up," morbius?" she had figured he would be at the lab well into the night but maybe she was wrong. @dvvilish
WHO: @beth-dryden (& Ellie) WHERE: Empie Park
“Easton Isaac McIntyre, you get your butt back over here right now!” Her voice boomed after the four year old who’d taken off at the first sight of his friend and her mother. But Auntie Greer, they’re right there. He’d whined, pointing to the pair lounging on a blanket just outside of the playground as he reluctantly walked back towards his aunt who’d stood still with her hands on her hips. “I don’t care. What did I tell you after last week, hm? You stay by my side or we got home.” The toddler had wandered off while Greer was tending to an injured cow and gotten turned around, ending up down a trail he’d never been and giving the family a good two hour scare. Since then she’d vowed not to let him out of her sight. “C’mere.” Kneeling down, Greer allowed Easton to hop up onto her back before standing up and making her way towards Ellie and Beth.
“Hi y’all.” She beamed once she was close enough, letting go of Easton’s legs so he could slide off of her back and run over to the blanket to greet the two. “You been waitin’ long? We got a little caught up... mama made strawberry lemonade pie and we just had to stop and share a piece, didn’t we E?” Shed asked the four year old as she lowered herself down onto the blanket next to Beth. Mhm. It was good. He’d replied, already ignoring his aunt in favor of the girl his own age. “Plus I couldn’t find his right shoe, I swear this boy just walks in the house and throws his shoes in two different directions.” Chuckling, the blonde leaned over and wrapped her arms around her friend. “How ya doin’, darlin’?”
WHO: @beth-dryden WHERE: the makeshift shelter WHEN: wednesday, march 11
Standing in the middle of the shelter as she held her phone up above her head, trying to get her texts to Beth to send, Katie Lynn let out a sigh as the lights flickered. Pocketing her phone, the brunette glanced around before she decided to simply go off in search of her best friend and niece. Luckily, she remembered the layout of the high school relatively well and found Ellie pretty quickly. “Hey little monster, I hear you’ve got some cookies for me.” She grinned, scooping Ellie up into her arms and pressing an obnoxiously loud kiss into the child’s cheek. “Where’s your mama, hm?” She asked, glancing behind Ellie when she pointed to the door to their left. “Mmkay, let’s go find her.”
Keeping Ellie in her arms, Katie Lynn opened up the door and walked inside, large, warm smile on her features as she spotted Beth. “So, is it just my phone or is cell service completely out?” She asked, finally setting Ellie back down and walking over to wrap Beth in a tight hug. “I’m so glad y’all are alright.”
the sound of the floor creaking caused beth's head to tilt up. she had been utterly consumed with the work that she was doing. a look of surprise appeared when she realized that it was morbius. of course she barely realized that it was rather late. she chanced glancing at the clock in the office. her eyes widened when she realized that it was just past one in the morning. she remembered that she had told him she would be in bed around ten or so. it seemed that she had gotten caught up in her work," i think i lost track of time." a somewhat guilty expression appeared on her face. she went to just add one last sentence to her notes. it wasn't often that she would do such a thing. she always tried to avoid working late. it used to be unavoidable but her internship had gotten a bit easier. that was only because she was exclusively working with morbius. she was just relieved that she hadn't fallen asleep at the desk," are you going to take me to bed?" her tone was a bit teasing as she scooted from the desk. @silverglvss

"we are taking the day off!" declared beth the moment that morbidus stepped out of the bedroom. she had used the key that he had provided her. of course that was because he was still working from home and she was helping him. no one exactly knew the true nature of their relationship. she was grinning up at him from her spot on the floor. she had spread out some blankets and put some pillows around as well. she knew that he was likely surprised since he always spent most of his time working. she motioned for him to sit beside her and gave him her best pleading look," we both have been working like crazy and i think it's time we relax a little." she went to tuck her legs beneath her in an effort to get more comfortable," so i thought we could maybe watch some movies and i would get some food later," she explained," i feel like you need a distraction, you are working yourself too hard." plus she needed a break herself. she had to balance time working with him and at oscorp. she had actually had more than a few run ins with norman. he was always asking her what dr. morbdius was doing. she always stammered out something about how he should ask michael. maybe that was why she decided to take matters into her own hands," and i miss just spending time with you."

‘ sounds like a load of bullshit to me, bud.’
beth was more than relieved the moment that the last customer walked out of the shop. sometimes it amazed her just how busy a flower shop could actually get. thankfully her shift was over which meant freedom. she went to flip off the open sign and locked the door. after that she was all set to do the little bit of clean up. she was in the middle of sweeping up when she heard someone's hand rapping against the glass. at first the petite blonde didn't even look up, continuing to sweep," we're closed!" the knocking continued which made her sigh before she lifted her head. instantly she froze when she realized who was on the other side of the door. she hadn't seen him in what felt like ages and almost wondered if she was imagining things," what-what are you doing? and here?" the broom was set aside before she moved closer to the door, going to undo the locks. @tabooandmisogny
