The texts they'd been sending had gone through a range of different moods it felt. What had started off as him asking to stop by and have a conversation had turned to their usual flirty banter and back to a seriousness that Nathaniel had never expected he would experience with Scorpius once upon a time. It felt like their relationship had developed significantly though and there were things that he felt definitely needed to be said. More so from his side than from Scorpius'. The man couldn't seem to hide a thing which was ironic really considering how much of his life he'd seemed to wear a mask. Perhaps Nathaniel had just gotten good at reading him, or Scorpius was allowing him to see past that stony façade.

He let himself into the others apartment, knowing that the blonde was already expecting him and therefore there was no need to knock on this occasion. "Honey, I'm home." He called out ridiculously, a grin playing over his face as he toed off his shoes and shrugged off his jacket to sling it in the closet. "There you are...." Came the fond hum as Nathaniel immediately grasped the other man to drag him into a kiss.

Jace raised his eyebrows when he saw his cousin approaching him. "Should I be concerned that you're walking over here, or are you just looking to chat or something?" Jace said.

Annie was walking through the parts of Hogsmeade that were still getting rebuilt after the attack. It looked better than it did, but there was still a lot of work to be done. She wished that this hadn’t been like the only way to get to her brother’s. Annie wasn’t paying attention when she literally ran into the other. “Oop, I’m sorry,” she said, her mind being pulled from her thoughts.

Scorpius Malfoy was perhaps the only person Arlo had genuinely considered a friend before meeting James Potter at Hogwarts. The age different, and the fact that the Malfoy’s and the Avery’s would so often leave their children out of meetings together, had led to him taking the younger boy under his wing when he was just a boy himself. He had decided to teach Scorpius how to play simple tunes on the piano in the Avery Manor drawing room, realising very quickly that conversation wasn’t something the Malfoy was willingly going to partake in. But after a few months they had come to hesitantly trust each other. Drifting apart during their time at Hogwarts, Arlo’s family dragging him determinedly towards their cause, and Draco pulling his own son away from it, he had made no effort to stay in contact with him, something he had eventually come to regret. 

According to James, when the article had been released, Scorpius was desperate to see him, to make sure he was safe. And after meeting him officially as the Arlo the Avery’s had disowned, anxious and unsure, but free of the fear and pressure that used to permanently weigh him down, they were able to befriend each other again. In fact, Scorpius was the only person aside from Lily and James who knew of his Dark Mark, and their bond was perhaps closer than it ever had been. A smile on his face as he opened the door to his apartment, he was pleased to find Scorpius had kept true on his promise of visiting him when he finished work. “Come in,” he greeted him, taking a step back so that he could cross the threshold. “Your timing couldn’t be more perfect. I’m attempting to bake brownies...” He closed the door behind Scorpius, glancing over at the oven, as always expecting smoke to be billowing from it. “They should be ready in five minutes.” @xshmx​

It had taken her all day to get ready as she wanted to make sure she looked her very best, so she hoped Scorpius wouldn’t be mad that she was half an hour late to meet him, throwing him her most charming smile to help. “I am very sorry, you know I am usually good about being punctual but it took a bit longer to do my hair than I originally planned.”

Reports wasn’t something that Asher agreed to when he was forced to guard his mother’s Alma Mater. He had the expectation that all he would have to do was walk the corridors late at night, tell kids to go back to their rooms when they were pass curfew, and make sure all protection charms were intact, but of course it wasn’t just that. They were forced to write their own reports about what had happened within their shifts, and though it may be accustomed for the aurors to do this amount of paperwork, Asher wasn’t. He grumbled and put a blame on that unqualified professor for this extra work. What made it worst for the man was being told that he had to submit his work to his fellow employees to make a cumulative report for the ministry.

Asher didn’t hide his annoyance when he was told of these reports, and he definitely didn’t hide it when he was on his way to deliver his work to the next auror. He walked down the corridors in wide strides with a hard look on his face; the very same look that made many of the students know that the man wasn’t someone to be messed with. The report, written in small fine lettering on parchment, was held in his hand as he made his way into the great hall and towards a pale man who was sitting in their designated ministry table, alongside the tables of the Hogwarts staff. “Malfoy.” He said blankly, dropping the parchment onto the table next to the man. Asher had mixed feelings towards this man. Malfoy has yet to annoy him, but he has heard many negative things about his family through his mother and the gossip at the local pubs.

“So I may have fucked up, like just a smidge,” she replied. “I don’t know if I did.”
