Logan wanted to get to the bottom of whatever had happened. Ivy didn’t have the details and if he wanted to be sure Katherine wasn’t picking on more people than he wanted to know for sure. He couldn’t do much with Aila’s safety on the line with the vampire, but he figured a little attempt wouldn’t hurt. “Katherine-” he greeted flatly. “I need a word.”

Working at the Grill again gave Ana some sense of normality. Of what she had before everything went south. She enjoyed it much to anyone’s surprise. She knew enough of the locals to know some usual order’s and greeted new faces. Told the next table was up the woman was busy so she grabbed the plate for her with a ‘got it’ before heading over. “Here you are. I’m sorry for the wait. If there’s-” Her words fell short as she glanced at whom the order belonged to finally. Her heart  skipped a beat as she froze on the spot.

Anastasia had cloaked herself the night prior. She had to be sure she wouldn’t be detected. Not even in the slightest. She used that to her advantage to figure out where Katherine was and to sneak up on her. At the last second she dropped the cloaking spell, a hand raising and ready to use magic to snap the vampire’s neck. “Time to pay up, Katherine.”

Logan had in fact not managed to get his greedy hands on the book that Katherine sought. He didn’t, however, wanted to go in a search of what she took from him as a bargaining piece, so he had found the thickest, oldest, and dustiest book he had laying around to pose as what she wanted. An exchange and he’d dip out in true Logan fashion before she noticed. “Afternoon, Pierce. Got you a present. So how about you toss me my spell ingredients and we’ll go on our merry way.”

Being a familiar enough sight at the place, Anastasia was easily let in. She was comfortable on the couch, a pile of defeat this morning. She heard the door and launched into at least part of why she had come. “This town is miserable, but I have a bit of an update.”
