@amongstmortals didn’t like for a starter but she gets one anyway because she’s my wife
The boy sits on his bed, knees pulled to his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around his legs. There are a few boxes and bags packed and lining the wall near the door. They’d all been packed for him while he’d been told to sit still and not touch or look at anything in case it might set of another one of his ‘fits’. Thea was coming with him to this ‘supernatural house’ Xander spoke of, but it didn’t make Riley feel much better. He’d come to adore his half-sister, but that didn’t mean he wanted to change his whole life around for some stupid powers he’d been given that he most definitely did not want.
He looks up as the door creaks open and he sees a familiar flash of red hair. He’s reminded of the first time he met the woman. Maria had come to pick him and his sister up and Ara had been there. She’d even talked to him and had been part of the reason he even gave Maria a chance.
“Come to say goodbye?” There’s a small twinge of a smile, though it’s completely forced. He’d finally had a place to call home and now he was being moved again. Even if is temporary, it didn’t mean he had to like it.
