She still felt lost and a bit aimless. Well, that was an understatement. She’d arrived here when a walk went on a bit too long, one she didn’t end because she had figured she’d get home eventually. That had been quite a bit of time ago, and that happy ‘come what may’ attitude had limits.
Her yen would run out eventually — soon enough, her miko outfit may have to go unwashed, herself sleeping somewhere other than a soft bed - maybe not even a hard one... and Himari was afraid. That was the worst case scenario, of course - she preferred not thinking in terms like that. But that’s what she needed to do. Think.
So she’d gone to find familiar surroundings. A shrine, a religious statue of some form, big or small, any religion would be fine! Just something recognisable! Somewhere to collect her thoughts, decide what to do.
Himari turned the corner on a small road. She found what she was looking for - recognisably Taoist - and something, no, someone else too.
A someone else with fox ears!
Whoever they were, their tail was covered by a long cape. The mere sight of another kitsune was enough to change tracks in Himari’s one-track mind.
“Hello!” She called out, an innocent delight rising in her voice. “Another kitsune! Who are you, how are you, what are you doing—“ a little too fast, there. Himari stopped and pretended to clear her throat. “Um—let’s try that again! Hello, friend!”
Himari felt the urge to rush forward and give the person a hug, but they were a stranger. Himari at least recognised that pouring out her uncertainties in a hug (recharging her happiness battery through it) on the first vaguely familiar person she saw may not be the best idea. The effort to keep herself from doing so caused her to seemingly vibrate in place.
