She was surprised to see him, she had often forgotten of his possible return, mostly out of her own comfort for the loss she felt when he left. The day he left, she had tried to consider why, but then her aunt proposed it was his time to serve.  She knew of her aunts calculated ways, and saw past this excuse. She knew she had done it to warn her, and thus did not wish to push things now. She knew he could be at risk of leaving again -- she did not wish for this. Their closeness prior to this was something they had not spoken of -- nothing had happened, but she had felt tension and undeniable feelings whenever he was around. She was going to find it hard to pretend around him, when manty questions remained unanswered. As she approached, she remained quiet, perching herself in the doorway with a small smile.

“I heard you are home -- for good this time?” She questioned hopefully, lowering her head to avert his gaze.

Lucas was family and he cared about the younger man. Wesley had always been the older brother and the dad friend. Wesley was someone who strongly believed in family and family dinners. He sometimes found it funny that he had develop this believe and ideas despite growing up it was the opposite. Growing up everyone ate at different times and the dinning room table was never really but only during events like Thanksgiving, Christmas.

Wesley had invited Lucas for dinner, the doctor was on his phone sending a few messages to Eric when he heard the knock on the door. He smiled, turning to look at Ollie who was holding a book with Felix and Luna resting by him. He opened the door and smiled. "Hey Lucas,"

"Nothing," Daxton replied trying to contain the laughter on his face as he watched the other. "You just saved me from getting that drink because I can tell that green juice has a very, very interesting taste and I should take a picture," he added teasing the other. Daxton did see Lucas and Atlas like little brothers. Being an only child, Dax had always wished he had a little sibling but Atlas and Lucas came close.

“You know, they say the Hale Vault is supposed to be untouchable” came the echoed voice from the shadows of the underground bunker. Lucas, also known as Arachno, was currently sticking to one of the shadowed walls and watching one Derek Hale realize his vault was open and utterly empty. A wicked grin under the mask as he watched the werewolf try and find the voice’s source. “Yet here it is, empty as can be. Come on now, weren’t you going to at least make this a challenge for me?”

Dani’d appreciated their size in the jungle - it made for scaling things, ducking around or under brushes, or getting into tight spaces in caves all the easier, but it was coming to bite them now. They were arguably a compact-size with muscles trained in climbing and hunting but that did little for them now trying to stop those bigger and more determined from getting into the water - or worse - trying to drag them back out again. 

Their soul and body were equally bruised by the time the fog thickened to where they could barely see their wrist when stretching out an arm in front of the. It was beginning to get impossible to see people heading for the water until they heard the splashing. They tried to wade in and grab them before they went too far but it was becoming less and less successful as they lost the ability to see far enough into the water to make actual contact. 

Blowing out an exhale after another failed grab, they moved back to the beach and nearly plowed right into yet another stranger. Today was also a great lesson in just how many Islanders they’d still not met and how difficult it was to not walk into people without the ability to see more than a few inches around themselves. “Sorry.” They offered automatically before registering that the other had their back to the water too and hey - maybe they weren’t the only one out here doing this. 

“Are you - “ Dani wasn’t entirely sure how to phrase what they were trying to do now that they had to put words to it because ‘trying to save people too’ seemed a bit too big of a phrase. “Are you trying to stop them too?” They settled on eventually before an idea struck them. “Maybe if we form a chain of some people we could keep them away from the water until the fog clears some more?” Or they’d just go through the chain and take them all down together. “Never mind. That’d probably not work either.” Fuck. “Any other ideas on how to do this?”
