There were still specks of blood on her face plating, dried and brownish now. She'd gotten a fresh mouth from parts and services before making their escape from the Pizzeria, her original having been taken as police evidence. They'd said they would be back for the rest of her, but she hadn't waited around for that. No, it was time to leave the Pizzeria, and unfortunately his friends behind as well. They'd been dismantled right after the bite, and unlike her, lacked the know how to put themselves back together. He would have helped them if he could, but it had been a struggle to get out alone undetected, and most likely impossible if they'd tried with the group.
So now she was here. This place was from her earliest memories. It was where they had first gained what would grow into consciousness. In a way it felt like coming home, but it couldn't be under worse circumstances. Dangling from the roof, Mangle peeked in through a window. There he was. Her creator. He was sitting at a desk, looking quite pained. It was easy to guess she was the reason. Would he even want to see them, they wondered. Before they could make a decision on whether to reveal themselves or not, a bolt of lightning revealed their shadow to the other, who turned quickly with a start. With the choice now gone, Mangle pulled open the window, sticking her primary head in.
"I'm... I'm sorry for what's happening. I didn't want to make things hard for the Pizzeria. I didn't want my friends dismantled. Though... I can't say I regret what I did. He was hurting her. She had bruises, he'd done it before! So, I just made it so that nasty man could never lay a hand on her again. A good friend wouldn't let that go on, right?"
