It was always fun to surprise someone, especially with something as simple as a question. But it was not a question that she would have expected, given their interactions with one another, so far gone from the norm of what was discussed or talked about that it was as if he had blindsided her with the idea of something so mundane. 

And besides, it was a beautiful day.

“I suppose I don’t really look the part, do I?” He chuckled, shoulders rolling in a light shrug. “It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I enjoy a warmer drink, while other times I would want something a bit stronger.” Usually wanting something stronger, to be fair, but hot chocolate could be just as good at warming him up.

“Perfect. I’d rather stretch my legs than just waste away inside. Besides, who can say no to spending time with beautiful company on such a nice day?” Flashing a smile to her.
