saw this on my timeline and now quietly thinking about how selene or alexis would have done this for one another

i’m beginning to wonder if the coven would actually, lowkey, resent the name Romanian coven. being it they started as the Dacian coven and Romania only became such because the Romans conquered Dacia. which probably ties in with the Volturi conquering them. Romania as a nation is always a reminder of their loss of power. Even though they don’t necessarily react badly when referred to as the Romanians, I can see them still preferring and referring to themselves as the Dacians

I know her bio is long so here’s some summarised dot points about selene (as well as mini headcanons I have)

-her father was a child of the moon/werewolf/lycan whatever u wanna call it. this did not make her a werewolf, but did seem to grant her slight supernatural abilities 

-those supernatural abilities are enhanced as a vampire 

-her blood as a vampire had the ability to gift the lycans with control of transformation i.e they did not have to just transform on the full moon

-selene’s connection and usage of the wolves is why they eventually became hunted to near extinction by the volturi as they were the romanian covens greatest weapon

-this bitch has a god complex. i’m not kidding, she thinks she was gifted immortality by the moon god ( idk maybe she was who am I to say )

I know my bio is kinda long so I should probably clarify a few things (and also add this to her stats) but Selene isn’t exactly a full vampire/werewolf hybrid. She’s definitely way more vampire, and as a human the werewolf gene in her blood never activated. As a vampire, though she has a few extra things like claws when she fights etc she never full on shifts because she never technically became one. She just has werewolf blood in her DNA. The most important thing her blood does as a vampire is grant other wolves the ability to transform whenever they want. Hence, she kind of becomes the “hybrid queen” because of this trait.

Ironically, despite being more vampire than wolf, Selene feels a stronger connection with most werewolves vs vampires though.

this is nothing to do with Selene (except kind of aesthetics because it’s her faceclaim/vanessa has some Selene energy) but I just found this edit and wanted to drop it here to say that I miss this cursed bitch so much

Hi I’m not dead! Kinda dead, but not entirely dead. TLDR got covid, got permanent damage from it, haven’t really been able to do too much for awhile but getting better slowly thanks to having an excellent Neurologist. But I’m currently writing a comic book that features Alex and also Ginger and Yarrow and Cailie and a handful of other OCs you know and love, so that’s super awesome! idk if I’ll ever be active here again since most people are gone, but hey, if the comic gets published then you’ll all know the OG character and his development over years xD
