perseverance - whether you recognize it or not, you've got a strong soul. your last thread of hope might be fraying and thin, but it's still there. you're still holding onto it. i promise it'll be worth it to keep holding on. over time, you'll notice that it's easier to grab. you won't feel so weak anymore because things will be easier. things will get better because you command them to. so keep your head up, yeah? you've still got some people to prove wrong.

you keep quite literally everything bottled up, don't you? you try to be there for everyone else, but nobody has ever asked about you. you have a mental list in your head of things that you wish beyond wishing that people would ask to know about you, but nobody has. you're afraid that if you tell them, you won't get the response you crave, which gets more and more mysterious and gut-wrenchingly necessary with every day that goes by in silence. it feels like you aren't allowed to exist.

She spits a little blood, and her split lip burns. Errant fingers run over bloody knuckles and she looks haggard. A disarray of messy hair, ripped jeans, broken skin. Her eyes shine with adrenaline or maybe alcohol.  She sits under the neon lights of the bar, a bottle of something loosely clutched in one hand. Jez looks up at the voice and gives a smile that sparks dangerously and threatens to catch fire.

“ Why not? Don’t you ever just want to start a fight? “ There’s probably more to the story, but she doesn’t tell it. “ The real question is, why the hell didn’t you? “

How do you best like to be loved?

touch me with tender truth

you crave being known and held. you just want the warmth and pressure of another body against your own. sometimes, late at night when you're alone in your bed, your skin aches with the lack of touch. you've tried touching yourself, and it isn't the same. one time someone gripped your shoulder and squeezed it in passing, and you thought about it for weeks after - the ghost pressure of their hand lingering. don't you deserve it? consistent physical love and caring? i think so, i think you do. but i also have to ask - do you fear it even as you want? after all, if you get it then it might also be taken away. i hope that if you fear it, you push through past that fear. that you ask for the touch you desire and deserve. i hope that you get touched with love and kindness, wrapped up in warm arms and rocked from side to side until the tension and pain falls away layer by layer and only you are left.

WHAT IS YOUR UNDERLYING MOTIF ?

whether it’s the way you bare your teeth when backed in a corner, your loyalty, or your tendency to act on instinct, your reoccurring theme is the dog. like mitski said “i get mean when im nervous, like a bad dog” or how halsey said “i won’t smile but i’ll show you my teeth” even when migos said “dance with my dogs in the night time” the essence of the dog runs through you. you’re tough and a quick draw on the outside, but if we got down to it we’d see you’re acting the only way you’ve ever known how. it doesn’t make you bad, survival is natural, your loyalty and determination is commendable. i don’t blame you for the way you act when your back is against a wall, but please remember to not bite the hand that feeds.

What’s the plan?”
