it’s  almost  ...  far  too  easy  to  forget  that  zagreus  isn’t  referring  to  him  ,  this  notion  of  a  ...  mismatched  family , the  loose  -  fitting  term  never  felt  particularly  right  for  someone  so  abundant  of  life  ,  like  zagreus  .  but  even  now  ...  guilt ,  an  ugly  creature  she  is  ---  rears  her  head  ,  gnawing  at  him  on  the  inside  .  had  he  not  been  sufficent  ?  by  attending  his  duties  ,  had  he  neglected  the  other  too  ?

expressions  devoid  of  his  iner  turmoil  ,  he  responds  .

  “  you’re  never  alone  ,  zag  .  you  have  mother  ...  hypnos ,  meg  &&  even  myself  .  “

𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋  𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃  𝐈𝐒  𝐌𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃  with  quiet  perfection  .  Decrepit  ferryman  can  only  do  so  much  when  it  comes  to  mirroring  amusement  . DESPITE  STOIC  PAST  ,  it  seems  the  ties  that  bind  forever  tie  him  to  that  of  Zagreus  and  his  moribund  soul  .  Charon  has  long  since  lost  count   ---  -  how  long  until  Zagreus  never  returns  ?  How  long  until  young  prince  finally  makes  his  grand  escape   ---  past  the  gates  ,  venturing  out  into  the  green  ,  labyrinthine  depths  of  the  surface  ?  THE  THOUGHT  COMES  TO  A  HALT  .  A  staggering  halt  .  Zagreus  seems  worse  for  wear  (  per  usual  .  )  And  this  ,  was  the  topic  of  conversation  at  hand  .  A  gyro  is  offered  ,  at  only  50  obols  .

Not the most useful item she could provide him with, but still a welcome one to be sure. The shades of Elysium were resilient and driven, it was not often that he fought them without taking a nasty blow or two. "In my own life he was more of a burden... I suppose it must be far easier for him to show care for his brother's children, rather than the ones he himself sired so carelessly." A sigh was given, along with a slight shake of her head.
