independence | theo & jude
Only once settling back into the family home - even if wouldn’t ‘officially’ be her residence for two weeks - did she seek out her former claim and the other person that she loved. Theo had left the Kusihamar family home only a month and a half prior, but that didn’t mean she hadn’t missed him any less. If anything, it might have been more than she’d expected. They’d spent time with each other daily for at least a year prior; to have him suddenly pulled from her side to seek out education, acceptance, and independence on the island had been difficult. But she was proud of him, nonetheless, and supported him entirely.
Jude let herself into the Master’s suite she was happily funding, carry-on suitcase wheeling behind her. A little bit of rearranging and she was unpacking, smiling to herself when Theo’s thoughts reached her even before the front door opened and shut. “I hope you don’t mind, my darling,” she called out once it did, only able to imagine the surprise likely threading through him at the moment. “But I took a drawer to myself. When I spend time here overnight, I’m hardly going to want to run home for clothing and toiletries, now will I?” Only when she sensed him at the door did she turn to her little nymph, grin broad. “Didn’t I tell you?” the djinn asked with fake innocence. “I decided to come back and continue teaching.”
