♂ (Do you have a roleplay routine?): Ahaha, what an embarrassing question… Not in the slightest, unfortunately! Well, that’s not really true. Mmn; I like to start all my responses/posts/everything as drafts and queue them the moment they’re passable, so that even if they’re not perfect I can eventually post them. This forces me to keep moving forward; unlike writing a novel or technical writing, there’s no room for perfectionism in the ruff and tmble world of tumblr. On days when I’ve truly nothing else to do, however..?Ah - my routine looks a lot like…I): Get on the tumblrII): Find people who are onlineIII): Send them ‘Gifts’IV): Realize I’ve doomed my chance at friendship with themV): Feel betterVI): Have a cup of tea, prepare the cycle anew. Just say the word when you’re ready… Ahahahaa!❅( Advice to non-role play blogs that want to get started?):Know that nobody else’s opinions matter. I know this one sucks for a lot of people, but if you are immune to the thoughts of other folk, you are immune to everything. That does not mean stop caring; that’s the greatest mistake people make. Care deeply.About everything - but let care be strength that fuels you, not something that saps your strength. Now that you’re armed and armoured… What to do?Pick something, whether an OC or… Whatever a non-OC is called? Something that you love deeply, a character you love to write or that stirs up emotions you care about. Know that you’ll need a lot of time, have moments when you just can’t write them, and will care ever-the-more about them; if that frightens you, it’s a good moment to ask if you want to keep going… But sometimes, that fear can be important, too!Set up your blog, but don’t worry too much about it; you’ve all the time in the world to make it beautiful, and there are many wonderful people who will help you - if you want their help, of course! For it’s fine to try on your own, too.And speaking of which - go wild! Do not be afraid to follow blogs, write blogs, whatever. Here is my secret: The worst people can do is ignore you, and in most cases that’s because they missed what you sent or just don’t know how to respond.Once you’ve realized the very worst - the very *worst* people can do on the internet is something inconsequential like that…!Well, that means the rewards - new friends! RP, good or bad! new ideas for stories! - so wonderfully outweigh the risks! Finally - don’t be afraid to take breaks, hiatuses, or simply admire your own handiwork in silence for a bit. A character you love loves you, in return. Don’t burn yourself out for them; feed your fire into theirs, and enjoy the gentle lights they cast.Whew - I hope that helps, somewhat! ▼(Are there popular head canons for your character that you disagree with? Why?):The sound of nervous sweating and hasty muting of Van Halen mixtapes can be heard in the distance.NO! OF COURSE NOT! WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT?!?… Ah, yes. Well - I’m not too tickkled by the idea that Gwynevere went overseas to Flann, put down the pudding and then shacked up with the-man-who-would-be-Trogdor. That’s all speculation, but it makes Gwynevere both a lot more petty then I write her, not that I can’t write her petty, and perhaps more importantly…If she did, why isn’t she there to look after Revolver O? Why did she name her kid Revolver O, why why why why - Why didn’t she go back to Anor Londo to help with… Stuff?I’ve received a few excellent ideas from Lin-mun on how to deal with this, but I’m afraid that with how popular DS3 is, I’m going to have to be flexible. We’ll see. Basically, my main complaint is that for a character with so little actual lore behind her, she falls into the trap of being easily thrown to the metaphorical wolves. And though my heart is quite rotten, I prefer an element of development to go with any wolf-throwing, if you catch my drift.Anything else… Hrmn, I’ve very specific ideas for the Princess Guard. When I get around to writing short stories about them, I can imagine they’ll draw laughs or the like?? Who can say.Maybe you can adopt them under your… /wings/ to tutle in the ways of sin?Thank you for asking these… This 4 u, dearest magpie..!
