“So...” Scott tries to sound casual, look casual, but it’s a little hard when he’s holding Holly and trying to calm her down. She got spooked from a noise from one of their neighboring houses, just when he finally almost had her down for the night. “Is your sister still dating Steve?”  //  @puppycrushing

“Stop laughing, it’s not funny!” Despite what he says, Scott McCall is laughing himself as he tries to stifle it with his hand. “You know I couldn’t tell my mom before, but now it’s different. And it’s not like I can just say, ‘hey, mom, guess what? I’ve actually been married for five years. Surprise!’ I mean, I could, but then you’d probably end up a widow.” He shakes his head before putting it in his hands, groaning. “You’re laughing now, but just wait. You’ll see. If anything, we’re going to have to have a whole other wedding.”

Now that he’s said that though, it doesn’t sound like the worst idea in the world.  //  @notthescarsyoucansee + based off the third plot here ;o;

He wished he could’ve skipped school today, it was all too much still. But he’s already missed so much class that it was going to be a miracle for him if he wanted to pass. A better student, a better son, a better friend, a better everything. Scott had made a promise to his mother and while it had been for that year, he tried to keep it going. This year though, he’d never felt more like he’d broken it. With all these thoughts present, it was no wonder he launched himself at Stiles when he saw him. Last night had been awful.

He thought maybe Stiles was mad as he was pushed off, but at his words he froze. “I- yeah, I know he is. Stiles... is this a joke? ‘Cause after last night, it’s not... it’s not funny.” Nothing would’ve shocked him more than this, even Stiles hitting him.

He almost wished he’d hit him, that he could understand, but this? This didn’t make any sense. “Dude, are you feeling okay?”

Scott’s nervous, but mostly he’s just excited. It’s the summer after senior year and while he’d mostly be hanging out with his best friend, said best friend is already traveling to the other side of the country for college. It’s a little more than a little depressing, but now he's determined to make the most of it by volunteering at a summer camp. It’s not too far from where he lives and there’s even a lake. 

While Friday the 13th gave him nightmares growing up and ruined any chance at all of him going when he was younger, he’s mostly outgrown them along with his asthma. Nevertheless, his mom made sure he packed his inhaler for the trip. It’s not exactly how he’d thought he’d spend his summer before college, but Scott hopes he can at least make a few good memories.

Filing out of the bus, he taps on the shoulder of the first person he sees. “Hey, do you know where I sign in? This is my first year here counseling.”

in  hindsight,    he  probably  should’ve  known  better.      at the mention of gemma though,    he’d  jumped  at  the  chance  to  make  sure  she  was  alright.      finding  her  out  in  the  preserve  hadn’t  been  the  hard  part,    no,    the  hard  part  came  after  he  startled  her.       “   not  to  sound  like  the  world's  biggest  creeper,    but  you  really  shouldn't  be  out  here  alone  at  night.   ”      while  his  words  probably  didn’t  help matters  much,    the  last  thing  the  alpha  expects  is  the  searing  burn  in  his  eyes,  letting  him  know  he’d  just  been  maced.      way  to  go,    scott.

Balance. When Deaton had explained things on the phone, that’s what he’d talked about most. However, most of it went through one ear and out the other. How could this bring about any balance after everything that had happened? What possible good could something like this do? Scott went over fully ready to ask his best friend that, but it all went out the window when he sees Stiles sitting on his bed with the triskelion box open in front of him.

“Stiles, why?” Voice cracking, he staggers into the room. “Why would you do this?”

When he comes to, there’s not much he remembers. He knows things, knows who he is, where he is, and what he is, but the past few hours are hazy. Scott can’t remember the why or how. How did he get to the preserve? Why is he out there alone in a building thunderstorm? How and why is he covered in blood? There’s one more thing he remembers and he doesn’t hesitate in running to the one house he knows better than his own. He doesn’t hesitate when he gets there, climbing into the other’s room through the window. He’s soaked to the bone, shivering, still covered in blood and looking at the face of his best friend which is the only thing he picked out from the blur of memories. “Stiles, what the hell happened?”

Scott wondered if he could get away with putting post-it notes on all of them with their name and species. He might need to if he was going to remember them. “I’m sorry, which one are you?”
