         Erasing the stigma that male Lions are lazy. Strap in my dudes. 

    Talking strictly about the cats, male lions are more heavily built than females, meaning their muscles weigh them down by a lot. Lions are also the only cats that have significant differences between male and females. Their manes also make it difficult for them to hunt, as it can sometimes give them away. 

    However, it doesn’t stop them from doing their part, and male lions are still very excellent hunters. Cats in general sleep between 15 and 20 hours per day. Their increase bulk also make it so they can’t run as fast. However, this doesn’t mean they can’t hunt for themselves. When marking territory male lions will walk up to 13 kilometres in a night. Keep in mind, they also protect the perimeters and their young cubs when the lionesses are out on a hunt. 

     SO WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH LEONA?? 

   Being a male, and using this information I like to believe Leona’s days and nights are switched. Making him more active during later hours, probably training, and doing his own manner of ‘royal’ duties while he is away from home at school. I also like to head canon that he does do walk around the Savanaclaw dormitory and outer areas just to make sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. So when he skips class and you find him taking naps outside or still bed, it is coming from the tasks he gives himself at night rather then following the normal schedule everyone else follows. Of course, he does attend some classes, and completes some leadership duties when he isn’t slacking and napping.
