      anything. she hears his words, and she knows he means them, but somehow it still doesn’t feel true. there are some things that are too hard to say. things that if said out loud. . . well they become real, and you can’t take them back.

        “ i know. i. . . just don’t know if i can let myself talk about it though. i don’t even know if that makes sense. ” lily raises her fingers to slowly massage her temples. she can feel a tension headache slowly setting in ; not surprising considering the stress she has been under.

“ and, ” she adds as an afterthought, “ i don’t want to put you in a tough spot having to keep things from james. for how dense he can be, he has such a keen perception for when things aren’t quite right. ”

Tea, coffee or energy drinks? 

As far as I know, energy drinks as we know them were not available during Lily’s canon lifetime, aside from something like Lucozade. But Lily is a sweet tooth at heart so I can definitely imagine her enjoying the really sweet types.

Otherwise, she’s a coffee girl. But as mentioned, she’s a bit of a sweet tooth. When she can get it, she likes a Dirty Chai ; a chai latte with a shot of coffee. Otherwise she’ll settle for a mocha or a caramel latte.

Night owl or Early riser? 

She can be both sometimes. She enjoys the quiet of night time, and she works well in the evenings. But if she doesn’t get up early she struggles to make it through the day. So more often than not, she spends a lot of the day awake.

upon hearing approaching footsteps, lily rises from the chair she’d been slumped in, hastily straightening her robes. she curses under her breath, realizing far too late that she hadn’t locked the door behind her. she quickly wipes her eyes, hoping they didn’t betray the fact she had been crying .

    “  —  god, what does it take to find an empty classroom in this stupid castle ”

the question and the aggression in her words are not necessarily aimed at sirius. but nonetheless, he was here now, so unfortunately some of the pent up anger was starting to bubble over.

his somewhat awkward response brought lily back down to earth, realising with a jolt that she had been monologuing to ted for far longer than she had intended to.

“ oh, god, i’m so sorry. i didn’t mean to. . . it’s just been a while since i’ve been able to talk to anyone about. . . anything, i guess. ”

that revelation hit her like a tonne of bricks, that in trying to make sure every one else was surviving, she had been avoiding putting any of her problems on their plates. “ with the world being the way it is, i guess i have been putting up a strong front for a little too long, now it’s spilling out at the slightest provocation ”

11. What do you know now about rp that you wish you knew when you first started?

I think mostly that a lot of people feel the same sorts of anxiety about approaching people to rp with that I do, and to not worry too much about who does and doesn’t follow me or interact with me.

14. Do you think rp has had a positive or negative affect on your life or you as a person?

I think rp has had a huge impact on my writing, I actually came back to this blog after a loooong hiatus, because I had to type up a backstory for a new DnD character, which turned into a several page story. When my DM read it he commented on my writing and that I seem more comfortable in a written format compared to our spoken rp form in DnD. I ended up telling him about this blog and the years before that I put into written rp and realised how much I missed it, and how much it helped me stay creative.

35. Do you read other people’s threads or do you only read your own?

I almost always read threads, I love reading other people’s threads and seeing how they play their character. I like seeing sneak peeks into other worlds, other relationships, seeing little parts of other characters that I wouldn’t usually see. What’s the point in following all these amazing blogs if I don’t read them! I might miss some on occasion, or glaze over some longer ones, but if I follow you, you can be sure that I have read your threads!

7. What is their best pickup line?

I honestly think Lily does not have a lot of ‘game’ when it comes to romance. She is funny, witty, can certainly be flirty, but it’s all in this really jovial, almost self-deprecating sense. I can’t imagine her using pickup lines in a serious way, simply because she doesn’t think of herself as the type of person who could get away with using a pickup line. No matter how charming other people find her, she still has a sense of insecurity about how other people view her.>

If she was to use a pickup line, it would be very jokey and non serious, something like “Are you wanting to making a mistake tonight? Because I can help with that.”
