↳ @familylightfox​ asked: "Hey. Mina. We brought somethin' for ya." Volt's voice was soft, carefully carrying over a basket of goodies. After hearing what had happened to their friend.

It was a given that they wanted to check on things after a bit. Even Harmony had something with her. A beaded bracelet will all the crystals she knew that were for good health and healing.

Inside the basket were some unique blends of tea, and some fresh apples from the orchards. Along with a few Tupperware containers of lasagna. "I know he probably ain't up for guests, so we brought a get-well basket for him."

    {➹} – IT SAID SOMETHING THAT the mongoose hadn't even heard them come in, not until Volt's voice broke the silence there in the break room and caused her to jump where she was sitting on the couch. It was a rare night where she couldn't sleep and had left her partner’s side to not bother him. She thought she was alone but there was more to be said in the smile she gave the pair than she did at that moment.

     The gifts were taken with a gentle hand, the singer getting up to putting them on the counter properly before running her fingers over the bracelet with an awed look. It was beautiful, and the food was more than appreciated given that the base was running low, and she was certainly no cook.

     "You’re not wrong...I don't think he could stay awake to say more than 'thanks'," while it was said in a joking sort of way, there was an honesty there that may have given away more than she anticipated. Still, despite her tired and somewhat ragged appearance, her smile was still warm, grateful. "But thank you, seriously. Maybe if it's your food he'll actually eat it. Me and Rosie haven’t been very successful on that front but he has said some pretty great things about your lasagna.”

     She knew she would be giving it a try, and she couldn’t thank them enough for the gesture. It had been just the little boost she needed after the last few days. Familiar faces were always welcome. “You guys should come by more, I know he’d love to see you.”

↳ @mobian-of-science​ asked: "Arrow! What happened?! Please, tell me you are alright!" There is a sudden attack in form of a tight hug coming from the small mouse.

     {➹} – IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME before this happened, the hero reckoned. He didn’t mean to keep the mouse in the dark but the last few weeks had been anything but kind to him, and it was only now, days after his rescue, that he was even able to sit up on his own. Talking was still a chore, and his eyes were still that dim brown; to say nothing of the dark veins that crept up his limbs and torso, even his neck. Color was slowing returning to his skin, but it wouldn’t take more than a glance for anyone to see the hero was hardly at his best. 

     And that, Arrow supposed, was what had sent his friend into a panic. How she had gotten there in the first place, within the base or in his currently borrowed room, was a mystery (though he suspected one of his teammates had a softer heart than they let on) but he would have also been lying if he said he wasn’t happy to see her. He was actually very happy to see her again after so much time.

     The hug, while appreciated, did cause a hiss of pain from the hero, one that unfortunately accentuate his trouble breathing but he did his best to quickly get it controlled again, for her sake and so he could offer some reassurance.

     “’M fine...” He didn’t look it and Arrow knew that, but it wouldn’t stop him from giving what he could of a smile towards Flask. “I just...had a few rough weeks...’s all.”

      A simple way to put it, but true nonetheless. He didn’t think it would help her worry, but hopefully she took some solace in knowing he was recovering and not too far gone. Bedridden, yes, but still there.

[I’m still breathing and she’s still teething, but we’re as good as we’re going to get. I managed to get myself transferred to a different base with lax security. Expect some more music in the future.]

[Good is better than not, glad to hear you two are alright. More glad to hear people won't be giving you too much trouble. Just stay safe, and keep your noses clean. You know I'm here if you need a hand. In the meantime, keep the tracks coming if it's not too much trouble. Might send you a few as well, once we finish recording ;)]

     He doubted Mina would mind. Besides, they both enjoyed the feedback.

↳ @familylightfox​ asked: It was probably strange to get an email from an unknown source. But the attached files were a few good selection of music from a band called Aleena’s Underground, and a picture of a toddler curled around a plushie.

Subject: Heard you needed a pick me up.

     {➹} – THE DAYS AFTER HIS RESCUE had been boring to say the least, consisting of nothing more than laying in bed and waiting for some semblance of his strength to come back. The hero knew it would take a while, most likely weeks, but at least his team had made it a point to stop by his and Mina’s apartment to liven things up. To say nothing of the time the mongoose was spending with him, though Arrow imagined that was more out of distress than anything else.

    But at that moment the hero was alone, and while the last thing he expected was an email to come through his communicator he did open it with a fair bit of curiosity. Given that the little device was made to only work if someone had his contact information ahead of time, he knew it was most likely someone he knew. He just didn’t expect the picture that greeted him.

     How long had it been since he had heard from that pair? A few years, maybe? Arrow knew they were smart, and tough to boot, but there was still something relieving in seeing Gibbous like that, and knowing that Light was, somehow, still as knowledgeable as ever. Both the music and picture were saved, a little entertainment and enjoyment for later, before a message was typed back. Arrow didn’t have the faintest idea if it would actually go through, but it was worth a shot.

↳ @lilbluespeedster​ asked: "I still haven't been able to replicate even remotely what happened during that fight...Merely only the sensitivity for other chaos users...And that's arguably gotten more clearer since that day." *The hedgehog sighed and looked over at a few of the markings he had remained from the event.* "Anyone you know that might be able to help?"

    {➹} – FOR A MOMENT, the elder looked at the very same marks, both puzzled and fascinated by them. Some might have found the transformation Lil had gone through odd but, given that his own had lead to the white bands and cuff along his limbs, Arrow couldn't help but see it as a good thing. He just wished he remembered more about the event in question, his brain was still a little fuzzy regarding those events.

     But, regardless, it seemed that it had set Lil their next path and it was one the elder was curious to see. Not just what it was comprised of, but where it would lead the younger hedgehog.

     "If you can sense as much as you say you can, I think you know the answer t' that already," it was said lightly with a like smile as Arrow met the other's eyes. The offer was there, if Lil wanted it. "Of course that all depends on whether or not you can handle me as a teacher, at least for the basics of it all. Anything too far beyond that we can...outsource."

↳ @lilbluespeedster​ asked: "Man, I still need to get back into shape, huh? At least I can stay on my own two feet again." *He chuckled and playfully nudged the other hedgehog with an elbow.* "Guess I owe you lunch now."

          {➹} – THE ELDER, EITHER TO make a point or merely because it was needed, stretched to the tips of his toes before falling back in a far more relaxed position. He was in a good mood, and had a damn good reason to be with his alternate finally getting back to their old selves. At least physically. He wasn't dumb enough to think what had happened didn't have any other lasting effects, but that was a bridge they could cross later.

     Since their outing had been a success, Arrow was considering it a win. A few hours of light exercise was a monumental improvement.

     "You don't owe me anything," he pointed out, yet there was a mischievous note to his voice as he smirked. A playful sight. "But you know I'll never turn down a meal."

    {➹} – “’S NOT AS WEIRD as you might think.” The elder was only being honest as he said it, giving his alternate a smile that suggested that he had an idea of what it was that Lil meant. He knew something had changed that day, and it wasn’t just what had altered the other’s appearance, not wholly anyway. 

     “Powers aside, I think you found a sort of...purpose again. Or at least the start of one if you don’t want t’ be too optimist about the whole thing. Something t’ fight for and, for people like us, ‘s something we need. Even if we don’t want t’ admit it all the time.”
