Part of him is excited about the upcoming mission - it's a chance to travel across more of Fodlan, and on top of that it's an opportunity to test out what he's learned, even in the (as of yet) short span of his studies at Garreg Mach.
Another part of him is nervous, however. And it aggravates him more than he cares to admit, given nerves aren't his Thing. He's supposed to be the sunny, optimistic guy, the guy who isn't afraid of a silly little demonic beast of all things - been there, done that! (... Sort of.)
He's already sorted his things for the trip to Sreng. The only thing left to do, really, is either look up information on where they’re going or help others with theirs, and with that in mind he heads toward the marketplace. (He's still banned from the kitchen, so, helping with supplies there is a no-go. Whoops.)
As he walks, it's hard to miss the many students saying their farewells to friends and family. The idea of saying goodbye after just getting here doesn't really sit well with him - but maybe, he muses sullenly, that's because he doesn't really have anyone to say it to just yet. That, and he’s never been a big fan of teary-eyed goodbyes to begin with...
C'mon, Ewan. Chin up. With a quick clap of his cheeks, his smile resurfaces and WAIT A MINUTE, HE KNOWS THAT BLOND HEAD OF HAIR. He'd know it anywhere, too. With a quick U-turn, he darts in front of her, eyes blinking his disbelief.
"AMELIA?"
Yeah. There she is, in the flesh! And with that uniform, too--
"Amelia!! What in blazes... Since when have you been a student at Garreg Mach?! How’ve you been!?"
