Ray attempted to sit up, but it was clear that he was being kept down by a few wires connecting to his body. He knew this would happen again at one point. He just hadn’t expected it to be anytime soon.
“Let me guess. My heart stopped for a while. Yeah. That happens.” He mumbled. Whatever drugs they had him on, he was enjoying every bit of it.
Gavin wanted to stab him. He wanted to knock him unconscious again, because this wasn’t funny. It wasn’t normal, it wasn’t okay. He could have died, and then what would they have done? What would they do with his body? They would have to completely reorganize their crew so they could function as if he had never walked into their lives. And Gavin didn’t know if he could do that.
“You’re a fucking twat,” He blurted out, gripping on tightly to the chair he was currently sitting in. Alone. Because the rest of the crew decided ‘oh, he’ll be fine, he doesn’t need us here’. But Gavin was way too much of a fucking sap to just let him wake up alone. “You could have died.”
