Damien will let Lotus scratch him during playtime. It's how she plays, and he doesn't really mind.

Lotus talks more than enough for both her and Damien.

"i...have to pet your cat. may i please pet your cat."

‘Of course, Doctor’ Damien signs. That gets a smile out of him. Out of all of the ways Elias would’ve finally properly introduced himself to Damien, he’d expected it to be while he was under the scalpel. Not an awkward question about his cat.

With a gentle mental tug, Lotus rouses from where she was sitting at a nearby window, and trots over towards Damien, at which point she jumps up onto the arm of the couch, next to which Elias is currently standing.

One of these days, Lotus will catch the red light.

But it definitely isn’t today.

Damien is taking his cat out trick or treating. He carries her (in her bee costume) around (occasionally tucking her into his beekeeper costume to keep her warm) and has taught her to get treats. He'll set her down and the door, knock or ring the bell for her, and walk away while she sits with a little paper bag held in her mouth. She paws at the leg of whoever comes to the door until they drop a piece or two into the bag. Then she'll walk over to damien, he deposits the candy into his (larger) bag, and gives her a cat treat. Then its on to the next house.

if damien sees Lotus basking in the sun, the sun spot is big enough, and he doesnt have anything else better to do, he'll join her
