The sound rain makes when it lightly patters on soft ground after making their way through branches.
The sound a breeze makes when it weaves through the trees and tugs the same branches and leaves, sending more to the earth.
But these sounds. These sounds were quiet. These sounds were pacifists. So long as the wind didn’t pick up and the rain didn’t fall harder. These were sounds that brought him peace.
So it was with this, that Twitch slowly raised his hands to draw back the hood he wore over his head. Little cat ears poked on top of it, with little buttons that served for eyes. Twitch looked around the area with familiar confusion. What brought him here..?

Leaving the hood down, he continued to make his way through the trees. Up ahead the ground curved upward, forming hills and drops. He was sure that, if he looked, there was bound to be a cave. He remembered living in one once.
The sound of rain. The sound of steps. The sound of disquiet he couldn’t quite shake.
