While pursuing Solas through the Eluvians in the Crossroad, powerful magic interferes with the veil, and Mistral is dragged into another world.
Alandra, a Succubus, tends to her wounds. As she wakes up, the woman is confused, scared, she thinks to be hallucinating or to have fallen prey to a demon or both. Alandra manages to calm her down and describes her appearing through a greenish rift ripping the air.
Suddenly Mistral panics realizing that Blackthorn isn’t with her. She can feel her presence although now their connection feels somewhat weakened. The wolf too must have leaped between the worlds, where to? she could hardly say...
The woman must adjust quickly to the new world. As soon as she regains some strength, Alandra points her to the Druid of the Island.
Ermion takes an interest in the girl, her story is peculiar, although not entirely unheard of...
She spends several months in Skellige. She learns a great deal about the local herbs and learns how to properly mix them. Apart from a few details, the basics are very similar to the Theodosian Botanics.
She is also given a quick overview of the creatures inhabiting the continent. It almost feels like an everlasting Blight...
One night, Mistral can hear Blackthorn's voice: it is only a handful of muddled words, plus incoherent fragments flashing into her mind: a small city, a dock, spires, lights into the distance... And then again, a dwarven city?
One image, however, is most curious. A man with snake eyes talking to Blackthorn as if they were traveling together.
Once again Mistral asks Ermion to help her.
Judging by the description of her vision, her wolf sister is on the continent and has been rescued by one of those monster slayers called witchers.
It is enough information for Mistral to decide to take ship and start her quest to reunite with Blackthorn.
